Where does it say that it is the Impreza replacement? I don't see how they could take a car that only has 2 doors and replace the Impreza.

first page top of 3rd column. The rumors have been that Subaru planned on making the next Impreza called the B5 and a hatchback. Certainly its possible that they can make a sedan version of this car, and its quite possible that the styling will be different when the car makes production, this is just a concept.

Oog. Talk about too-high waistlines. And the interior designer must have been using tinted glasses. Yah yah, it's a concept car, but yeesh.

The rumors are that the chassis will be shared across the Impreza and Legacy lines. That would save costs; I just hope it doesn't compromise the Impreza's rally car handling heritage.

My '05 keeps looking better and better. A GC8 coupe might be a worthy addition to the Subie stable right around now too.

I didn't see where it says its a replacement for the Impreza either. Seems to me its Subaru's concept for a hybrid, thats all.

read my response to that question. It says that this car is the Impreza replacement concept, and I think it says it twice.

Article could be wrong, but NASIOC seems to be going along that this is probably the Impreza replacement. Not that that means anything though...

If that is what the next gen Impreza looks like when it goes into production, my next car will be a Porsche or a new GT500. Hope Subaru is listening.

Looks like GM is screwin up Subby. That concept car is REALLY similar to a Saab concept car shown a few years ago...

Not too sure I like where this is all going.

I HATE THE BIG 3

Does it really have to do with GM? Isn't this Subaru Japan's new design modus operandi?

You know, the 06 is REALLY growing on me... maybe this one will too? It definitely doesn't look sporty or aggressive enough, but hey, it IS a concept and I don't think this concept is geared at us.... seems that it's geared to general consumers, not enthusiasts. Never know what the right body tweaks and wheels and drop can do. Also, I really like that Subaru is thinking of hybrid technologies... both Honda and Toyota are looking to hybrid technology as a solution for not only fuel economy but performance as well... the new rumored supra and possibly even the next gen NSX may be hybrid, as well as the 06 Accord Hybrid and possibly others on their way.

I'd like to think that Subaru is constantly thinking outside the box.

Im saying that body is a take off from the Saab concept shown last year or 2 years ago.. The last thing I want is GM to start mixing in other companies designs...
