Nice pics, I think that the Jap version has the extra button, that allows the mirrors to fold in! I was actually thinking of getting that for my STi, I think its great to have every time you park the car.

You know that folding mirror thing is such a gimmick, but I'm with you. I'd love to have that on mine. It's cool.

It might not be so much of a gimmick in more crowded city confines, for example Tokyo and any of a few dozen European cities.

But it is a cool trick, gimmick or no.

Yeah, I thought it was bad ettiquette in Japan to not have folding mirrors and use them...or something like that.

My brother couldn't get his car in his garge in Sydney without folding in his mirrors... Well I mean folding it in let him get the passenger side closer to the wall so he actually had room to get out of the drivers side.

They are a necessity for parking in Japan.

That is what I was wondering when I first saw the pictures, but I figured there are a lot of other people that are more educated about the new spec C than I am.

It is not a Spec C as it

1. Has no hood vent
2. Has no pull out antenna

That is the regular STi in Japan with the lip added

PS - The mirror thing is vital to those in Japan - many roads are 4m or less in width so they are needed when passing on coming cars and also for parking - most residential homes in the city have on 2m for access.
