They are the Spec C versions, which are the basis for rally cars. The flap is for cooling the cabin as rally cars don't typically have aircon due to the extra weight and power they require.

The Spec C cuts all corners possible corners for weight loss.

No AC so the roof vent
16" comes with base seats cause they are obvioulsy coming out anyway

I think those might be Spec C RA's because they have the Brembos, the 17" BBS wheels, and the big spoiler. I'm really liking that rear window spoiler, but I can just imagine how much more it obstructs the rear view.

Not at all... look at how high up on the window it is, plus the angle it sits at.

Going off topic now, but I think it will combined with the rear wing. All you'd be left with is the view through the opening of the spoiler. The view above the top plane would by obstructed.

According to a guy in Japan, it is not even in your field of vision when in the driver's seat.

I guess I can't say for certain. I plan on being eingless anyway, so I don't care one way or the other. I think the smaller front on this car is going to look hot wingless... not to mention it will be a total sleeper since the wrx looks just like it.

I test drove the car and you can not see it at all. Look at the pics in the general section I took and you can see it is above the window.

I'll take your word for it then. It's going to be a must have for me.

There is a specific Type RA in Japan and that comes with different wheels and rear trunk spoiler among other things. The regular Spec Cs can be ordered with or without the Brembos, with or without DCCD, and with or without the 17" BBSs. There are some limitations based on whether you order the model that comes with the 17s or the 16s, but I dont know the exact specifications without doing additional research.

The antenna is manual pull out because the rear window is thin and lightweight. Other STis have the antennas built into the rear window much like our STi in the states.
