I was going to wait with my comments until I could see the car in person but the more I look at these pictures the more angry I get. The car looks like a family car to me, it's sooo ugly it's not even funny. WTF Subaru, seriously.

Yes, these are available in the aftermarket.

Well the better aerodynamics are for stability purposes for the most part. This is at least what I saw on the video on the subaru japan website. To me, its just more crud i need to get through to put an aftermarket muffler on or replace my oil filter. (though there is a cover of sorts on the '05)

It's honestly starting to grow on me. At first, i was disgusted, but over time that has dramatically changed. The current model i adore, much more than the 06, but that doesn't do my plans any good.

I plan to buy an STi next year sometime and, as i thoughroughly love the current shape, i'd be looking to buy a used (to a fair extent) 2005.
Then again, perhaps by that time i will know of the 2007 prospects and can make my decision.

Such dilemma's!

I'm kind of banking on some body kits to counteract my dislike for the front grille.

I agree with some people here. Originally, I hated the new look but it's starting to grow on me. I'll reserve my comments for when I actually see it in person. For some reason, to me cars ALWAYS look different ( for better or worse ) in person than they do in pictures.

I look forward to owning an STi in about a year or so. It all depends on when the proposed "07" model is coming out. Then I can decide between the 06 and 07.

I'm also curious to see what interior changes ( if any ) the 06 has. I'm sure there are minor improvements here and there.
