It's not as bad as I thought. I'm not feeling the front grille. As much as I hate to say this but I'm sure there will be a sick a$$ aftermarket front bumper for that to set off those lights more. Can’t wait to see.....

i think the car will probably look pretty nice in the street...too bad there are no far away shots...the projectors are nice and i'm kinda pissed only the 04-05 models don't have projectors...do you guys think there is going to be an increase in power?

I like it, but I gotta say that Subaru emblem in the center of the back would be the first thing to go on my car (a close second possibly would be the little wing ... I dunno, gotta see it in person)

One of the reasons I bought when I did was that I was afraid the front end redesign would be a bust. It is. I like the fact that they smoothed the overall look of the front bumper; the '04 and '05 is a bit busy below the grille IMO and the '06 is better in that regard. Unfortunately everything from the grille up is as bad as I feared. And what is UP with that second wing? I don't care if it is functional, it looks ridiculous.

Eh, life goes on. My '05 just got more valuable Bring on the '07!

I wish they would get a group of us together and ask us for advice before they release the '06. I hate the front three pice grill. It seems to put enough of us off that it could affect the success of the model. BTW, probably all of the imprezas are going to get the grill. It Uggggly and I won't buy it, but then again, the '02-03 bug-eyed imprezas were ugly cars too. I was impressed by the '04 impreza and the '05 legacy, and thought finally subaru has brought in some decent design staff. But this version is way too controversial. I hope they produce a legacy Sti

You know subaru has never been a company to look at style, with the exception of the '04 Impreza and the '05 legcy, their cars have all been more functional than attractive. But this iimpreza looks like their tribeca, the ugliest grill that I've seen in quite a while. Its a deal killer for me. They'll have to bump the power to 400 HP and open up the wheel well so I can put on 295-35R18 tires on the stock rims if they want to sell that car to me.

I was wondering why no one else noticed it. Looks like a rear diffuser, helps reduce lift under the car.

I understand people not liking the new grill, but I think there's also some of the "any change is bad" mentality going on here too. I mean, I need to see that grill in person before I make up my mind, but the rest of the changes are not so bad. Let's be honest - the current sti is a car that routinely gets called ugly by car owners of all types. It really does look like a cheap econobox with a huge mailbox stuck on the front and an enormous wing tacked on back. That's because it is. We love it because of what it can do, how much fun it is to drive, its rally heritage, and because we are car nuts.

I wish they weren't doing the three piece grill, but the rest of the car is fine, even the roof wing and the smaller looking hoodscoop.

Not as bad looking as I originally thought. It is very Alfa like. I still like the clean, mean look of my '05. But "I wouldn't kick her outta bed!"
