Word is they already told the dealers no new imprezza announcements till Sept. Just suv junk for this show.

Yea but the 04 and 05 STi's started arriving at dealers in the May-July period of 03 and 04..

Mike, let us know if there will be the new 06 impreza in the Show. I am so pissed with Subaru. The Impreza is supposed to hit the dealers by mid-June and Subaru didn't release any information yet. We are talking about less than 3 months now.
BTW, I will be in the Show Sunday, 27th. Hope the new Impreza will be there... :roll:

Well I've been here for a few hours guys. Subaru's press conference was earlier in the day and I regretfully report that there was no new Impreza information. Subaru only unveiled two new cars, the Forrester XT, and the Forrester LL Bean. The B9 Tribeca is here as well. The only Impreza here is an 05 STi in the corner along with a few Legacy's. This is seriously dissapointing.

I spoke to someone from Subaru of America management and he only would tell me that the new Impreza won't be "unveiled" until later this year (fall) and won't be released until 2006 (as a 2007 model year) over here. He said it will be a redesign though.

That tells me that '06 will remain the same for the Impreza in the United States, but probably with some minor updates. Perhaps a 2.5 WRX? I don't know. The gentlemen I spoke with was not quite fluent in English so I couldn't really press for any more info.

There definitley will not be a new redesign for at least of few more months.

i figured they would do that
it was scheduled for 07 as a redesign or whatever they wanted, so 06 would just be the 05 again with a few tweeks maybe
depending when the 2006 arrives, that means getting the 05 will be a little cheaper since they will be leftovers.
idk, i love the current design, i'm no way into that alfa grill look.

Does this make any sense? The entire 05 Impreza line was released in June of 2004, would they really wait to release the 2006 impreza's in 2006? Seems that they would not wait a year and a half to do this... good job with the updates so far though! Nothing was more disappointing than the Detroit show where they didnt even HAVE a STi to show people!
