I did a little research and the direct conversion of what the Japanese price is to the American dollar, the car would cost $50,000 before the cost of importing it.

We get cars ALOT cheaper here in the US, when compared to other countries. Directly converting the currency from one to another gives you a general idea of what the car might cost, but in almost all cases is not even remotely close to actual price.

indeed, i do agree. It was more of just an idea but still thats a lot of dough. Either way if i could afford it i would.

Actually, American prices (while cheaper) have more hidden costs, like TT&L. For example, in Europe the prices include tax (VAT), so the price on the car is the OTD price. However, once you control for the 15-19% tax, they still pay alot more, factor in exchange rate and the difference gets larger. Oh, alot of foreign base models have alot less amenities than American cars do, so they are really getting rammed.
