08 Impreza WRX STI 4 door Non hatchback

So ive been really upset lately that subaru didnt make an 08 sti version of the impreza sedan. Can these two links prove something different?

i doubt they will be releasing a four door non hatch... i dont think, because if you look at the dates published on the two links ... it says something like june 2006 and february 2007 both of these dates before the final release of the current model.

BUT then again subaru could just be pulling our strings for now, and will release a normal looking sti in the future... but i gota admit the new hatch style grew on me pretty quick.

Since the sedan is a US only model, and the hatch is actually outselling the sedan in the US, I doubt there will be a sedan based STi.

Like Garo666 said, the hatch quickly grows on you, I have a new 08 on order.

The hatch is a lot more practical, I'm looking forward to having the same amount of power as in my 05 and a lot more room for hauling stuff which is starting to be a real need for me.

the second pic looks like a hatch..... anyway Subaru won't change they're design that quickly because they would loose credibility

They are both very old chops of what the 08 STI might look like, before anyone actually new what the 08 STI was going to look like... I doubt they bring back the STI sedan.

I just dont undersdtand, theyve been making sti sedans for years, why stop now?
Also they made the 08 impreza sedan, and the 08 impreza wrx, so why not just complete it with the 08 STI sedan.
I really do beleive they would be selling better than the hatchbacks.

SUBARUUU MAKE THEM!

If they were to build them, Subaru would have to correct their tuning issues before I would even consider one.

they made it a hatch to be a more balanced rally car... as well as a ton of other reasons (to compete with the hatch performance car market, etc)

even the Evo is going to a hatch layout.

subaru will never make another STi sedan... if you want one, go buy the fenders from the hatch and graft them into the sedan body... then throw in the STi engine and transmission -- the interiors are the same in the front so you could (if you had unlimited funds) make an 08 STi sedan complete with giant fenders...

Why does the hatch make it more balanced, subaru has been using sedans in rallying for years. I guess its just better huhh.

motor is moved back a tad,but thats the tip of the iceberg.yes they have been using the sedan for years,but they have been loosing as of late.on top of that they have been loosing to hatch type cars mostly.imho subaru built what they hope will put them back on top off the podium

ah yes, the STi would have never existed if it never entered WRC. they built what they think can compete in WRC, they didnt build the STi for us, where just lucky they desided to make a production car for US!! love the new design or hate it, they do what it takes to get back on top. and IMHO i support STi through and through!

better suspension, weight distribution, stiffer chassis, wider track. If you want a sti sedan.... try to get subaru to bring over the lagacy sti.
