Time will tell, i guess. I cant help but to be sceptical, cant imagine subaru releasing a non AWD car, given that AWD is their 'thing'

You just glanced at the article didn't you. In the one paragraph "But the more powerful car will send power to four tyres to harness all that punch."

Nah, i read it all. In other countries you can get weak-ass 1.5L NA impreza's, but still with AWD. Subaru moving away from one of their core value's?

Reading that 1 version has rear wheel drive is what gives me doubts

IMO this is what the 08 should've looked like in the first place. And guys it's a concept drawing, not the real thing.

Do you want cool design or to win WRC?

the real test will be the next couple of years will be the EVO vs the STI and see what the performance is or even if the EVO is still around when times get hard racing getting cut 1st the EVO is all ready no longer in WRC.

I completely agree that this should have been the design of the 08. Its still a hatch but atleast in my opinion it looks alot better than the 08 hatch design. If Subaru can correct the motor issues that are occuring and make a 305hp AWD version of this car then I think it will be a huge hit......but knowing what Subaru has done in the past I think that they will screw this one up as well.
