What the hell is it... a two door legacy? Or is it a four door like the RX-8? Whatever it is I can tell you one thing... it's not coming to the U.S. with those Recaros in it!

It looks like to me that its a N/A version of whatever it is. Expect the STI version to have bigger flairs and hood scoop (again). Things could change a lot by production time and it might look more like the P2.

I don't think a RWD coupe could be built on the Impreza platform. The engine sits in front of the front axle, giving a pretty lopsided weight distribution. That works OK for FWD and AWD, but you wouldn't want that in a RWD car- especially a powerful one.

With AWD gone, the front wheels can be moved further up. However, it usually takes a chassis redesign for something as major as that, so it wouldn't be the Impreza platform anymore.

It looks like a shortened Legacy, with perhaps 6"-12" taken out between the B and C pillars. But seeing how we're just over 2 years till the model year starts, it is probably a very rough test mule.

If it stays RWD with a NA 2.0 the motor could sit a few inches farther back and/or the front A-arms could be re-designed forward, ala the Ford GT.
