If the first pic is an indication of the body style for the 2.5 awd coupe in 2012 that they report, then I would be all over it. I would probably keep a regular wrx or older sti 4 door as a daily driver, but would be all over that 2 door.

But it seems as all speculation right now and 2012 is a long way off.

I found this information in Japan Autoweek Magazine.

I was able to understand about 75% of the article. Toyota is working with Subaru to develop a FR platform, 2 door coupe. Toyota's intention is to revive the Levins (AE86) in Japan.

So There are conflicting reports. But I think the FR platform makes more sense here in Japan. I also read that the car will be sold as a Toyota in Japan. So maybe the USDM will get a different drivetrain??

I will keep my eyes open for any more news here in Tokyo.
