Default pricing about 06

another stupid question. i recently checked Edmunds.com and KBB.com the value of 06 sti with around 35k miles for around $20k trade in and $23k private, and i been shopping aorund for a 06. all i see is around 26-30k, with that price should i just get a 08? cuz i have a quote from a autobroker. he told me that i can get it for around 34k otd. what you guys think? but i really like the look of 06 07, but the price is kind of unresonable. so i just wait untill someone will sell their car at that value or just get a 08? Also Edmunds and KBB price is not the true value?

In my opinion, I would take your time trying to find a solid 06 or 07. after driving the new 08 i cannot say that I am all impressed with the power. the car feels a little heavier although it has a little more luxury. I recommend driving both cars to establish which one suits you best. they are certainly two different cars.

06 seems to have the least amount of troubles... So i would try to find one an 06 if I was you.

There are always deals out there, you just have to be patient!

Since there are few out there, and even fewer unmodded, KBB may not always be accurate. I got my 05 with 31K for 22,750, and had to look for MONTHS to find it. All the sellers know the market is so small, they can ask for the extra couple grand, and if they are patient, they will get it.

If you dont mind coming up from Cali to Oregon for a STI you should check out this website. SilverLine Automotive Inc. Official website.. I just picked up a 06 Limited STI for $21K with only 13,000 miles. BEST DEAL EVER!!! But he also has some other great cars that are priced to sell. Hope this helps in your hunt.

P.S. Personal opinion dont get an 08.

If it sounds to good to be true it normally is.

On antoher note:
I am thinking of selling my WRB 06 STI
with all the goodies on it (no i wont part any of it out)
for $28,500.00.

Let me know if you might be interested.

Car has less than 8k on it.

Title in hand.

With the way that people like to drive STI's and Evo's I would just get a 08 because then it could be your baby and you know how you drive it.
