Default 2007 Subaru - high speed crash in Malibu

A 2007 Subaru wagon lost control at a very high speed on the Pacific Coast Highway last night. From the pictures it looks like this was probably the Legacy, but the car is so smashed it is hard to tell. The main body of the car held up pretty well, given the force of the crash.

Police said they found a bottle of Jagermeister and an empty prescription for medical marijuana.

Brooks said intoxication was the primary factor in the crash, but that excessive speed also played a role. It appeared that none of the teens were wearing seat belts, Brooks said.
can't say that i feel sorry for them. darwin award waiting to happen.

huge bummer

big mistake on their part, could of at least put on seatbelts.... probably would of only lost the car and a license instead of a life

wonder which one of the teens had glaucoma, probably the one driving, ha-ha-ha

Regardless of how stupid it was it doesn't take it back or bring anyone back. I hate to be the downer but like it was said we were all young once. Not that that should be a good excuse but we have exceeded the speed limit from time to time. I dont agree with drinking and driving but all of the other teens could have made decisions for themselves to not get in the car. Kids are such followers, that's the real problem. Bottom line is slow down and if your gonna get in the car be responsible. I just hope the girl turns out to be okay. and I pray for the kids family who passed.

these kids would probably do this sober too...if your dumb you gotta be tough if not your dead.end of story.I have done dumb things in my car but always have enough sense in the back of my head not to endanger others..even if intoxicated that feeling is always there...and it sobers me up quite well.

drinking and driving is bad enough, but speeding while doing it when you obviously have no clue how to control a car (year of driving experience)..........stoooooooooooopid

I foresee insurance on the Imprezas rising again soon.

Unfortunate mistake on their part of the driver and the passengers for agreeing...

Point isn't to bring them back. Point is to the kids who do stupid things like this and are still alive that there are a lot of people out there who think they are idiots and not the cool bad asses they think they are. Since they are followers, they should follow the people who tell them that drinking and driving is for morons.

The school should go on with their anti-drunk driving presentation. Use these kids as an example. Pound it into their heads. Best thing for the departed is if their deaths weren't in complete vane.
