If Toyota wants another Celica, at least have some of the previous one's rally-car roots (3S-GTE ftw!)

But I'm VERY HAPPY that Toyota is reviving the Celica GT-FOUR.....

The more I read about the gtr the more I want one. It might be a used one, but I know I will own one down the road. Then again if they make it uglier.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Toyota has unfortunately retired the legendary motor... (last seen in the 07 Caldina GT-Four)

Emissions could be a major culprit...

Anyway, bring on the Celi GT-Four! America needs more AWD Turbo monsters here!

Right on! I came from owning a celica and researched turbo kits for 3 years. Decided i'd go with the STi. All the while though folks used to talk about the GT-four. Turbo charged awd celica FTW! Shoot i may go back to toyota if they make on of those.

I don't really have a problem with it, but I do wish that they would name it something else. It sounded pretty cool when they were considering calling it ae86. Celicas (especially the later models) don't really get the same reaction compared to when you say WRX or STi.

But I do hope it comes out and does well. We'll finally get a 2 door STi. And on top of that, with a little luck and good sales, we can get a Supra STi type car down the road. Subaru AWD with a 2Jz. Maybe a Toyota version and a Subaru version with B11s design cues. A GT-R fighter.

Bring it on, i dont understand all the hate. It just opens up another avenue for those of use whom would prefer a coupe or a different look to the current 08' Sti's.

The next retro classic that comes out should be the datsun 510 from nissan. I would buy one in a hartbeat
