I would imagine the STI will get a nice bump~HP also.....
Of Course...all this is still rumor....was surfing and found this.....Could be all Lies.....They would"nt dare give the STI more power....would they?

I very much doubt this since Subaru is purposefully dumbing down the aggressiveness of the WRX to appeal to the Camry crowd. There might be a hp bump, but I very much doubt the suspension/transmission/aggressive looks that support the STi will make it into the WRX. I don't think the grannies are into that yet.

That wouldn't surprise me in the least. Another two MY's later for the WRX, of course the natural progression is going to be towards better technology and higher power output.

Just think what an AP does to the WRX or STI anyway, with a Stage 1 flash. The claim of an extra 40hp doesn't make me bat an eye at all.

WRX/STi WILL get Direct Injection is about 2-3 years (Porsches getting it first this year).
This should give it a decent 5-15 percent bump in power/torque, while delivering slightly better fuel economy.
Subaru needs to see & read all the negative STi reviews and fix the flaws.

Subaru might be worried about the Ralliart. Between the WRX and the Ralliart, the Ralliart is a better looking choice for peopel who want a boost buggy but don't have the money for the big toys. Which would leave just upsales fur Subaru to get people into WRXs. It's possible that the boy-racer image they tried so hard to shed might have been selling some cars for them.

It's possible, but really it can go either way.

As it is, 2010 is time for an appearance update if Subaru is holding to their old schedule.
