We got about 510whp at about 7200 on unleaded and with a cat and using the stock header. We also are running a roadrace tune that didnt pull any timing or show any knock. We have more room for boost and RPMs if needed but I like the safety margin we have now. We are using 8500 redline but it can touch on 10k and live at 9k all day long. I am often short shifting at 7500ish and using the extra when I need to carry a gear into a corner further etc. The power stays flat and keeps pulling hard all the way to RL.

Yeah those are some sick results.... the motor's redline alone blows my mind.... i also didnt think you could run a GT30 or higher w/ a cat in the exhaust.... learn somethin new every day

Thanks guys!

The debut is this weekend at the Redline Time Attack race at Buttonwillow. I expect to shatter the existing track record for awd street tire class but I know several other teams have stepped it up too, we'll see who has done their homework best over the winter

Our 3" cat may be costing us a few whp but we are still well above our target power for the street tires. I may twist up my MBC for mod class. I am running about 26psi and can go to 29 without worry, we'll see....

Does street tire class require a cat? I don't understand why you have a cat installed in a track car!

The class he runs in for Time Attack requires it.

^^ Yep. It's a new rule that has yet to be properly explained.....

More expense
More maintenance
More tech issues
More protests
More heat under car
More $$$ gas
All new tuning
etc etc etc.....

The irony is that the special unleaded gas I now use has MTBE (and who knows what else) which is way worse than the leaded gas I used to run, go figure........

Holy crap that Subaru is fast! The supercars are awesome, but I loved seeing the Subie kick the crap out of the supercars.

It would be interesting to have a match up on Mullholland, with the supercars on one side and a bunch of cars tuned for the track on the other.

Still can't believe you have a full interior! I stripped my cars interior out, and even though the rollcage added back some weight I wouldn't give up the handling for anything.

assuming youre in race seats up front and you lost the side curtain bags, stripping the rest of the interior doesn't subtract much (unless youre including the front airbags).

well most of the interior didn't weigh that much, but the rear seatback and spare tire were a lot heavier than I expected.

Anyway, back to the show. Supercars Exposed has to be one of my favorite new shows. I would love to see more matchups between Supercars and racebuilt cars. Or we could take the Supercars on a rally, now that would be fun

Let's see how this Ferrari handles the dirt

^^^ Thanks!

Some of the shows are better than others but they have all been pretty decent overall. Maybe I am just biased but I liked my show the best....

I do wish they would get back to what the title says: Supercars exposed. Let's see more of what these cars can and cant do in the hands of competent drivers and less about the posers who usually drive them on the street etc....

Just my .02
