I didn't realize how much had gone into your car until I saw this video. 500 hp and 3,100 pounds. Nice.

+1 the show was awesome. The wifey watched the whole show with me and then she said "oh my god, I didn't realize how badass the sti is." Now she wants to trade in her volvo S60 for an sti.

Just finished watching the video at work and I must say....DAMN. You definitely have one sweet set-up. Way to reel in that Viper too.

I would have been interested to see how a well-driven stock STi would have done against those cars. Or at least a street legal STi.

Thanks again for all the props guys!

I just did a test day at Buttonwillow yesterday and it went really well! 1st test with the new motor, alignment settings, and some other items and they all worked flawlessly! We did an unusual config so the lap times were not comparable but we were as fast or faster than than every car there including a bunch of USAR-Hooters cup cars. We threw a power steering belt while entering turn 1 at 140ish and later had a front tire deflate and come off the rim at speed, both a little scary but nothing bad came of it. My team mate and his car (Ryan Novak) ran great as well. Watch the Harman Motive website for some upcoming videos etc.

JM, good question ^^. From my expirience, I believe that a stock STI could have given the Aston (1:28) a run for it at this track while the Viper would have walked (ran) away. The following is my estimate: stock STI=1:29, Stg 2=1:27, stg 2 with better tires, suspension, brakes=1:25, to go faster it becomes a dance with the devil after that.... BTW, I did 1:23s on street compounds and Tanner and I both did 1:22s on "R" compounds (yes, I danced with the devil....) using the full track without the blowpass.

BTW, my car is a fully registered, licensed, and insured street legal car(completely conforms to all Time Attack street class rule too) and has all every creature comfort it came with from the factory other than the AC. I still have all of the lighting, power windows, locks, full interior, rear seats, heater, sound system, etc. It even has a cat and runs on unleaded. The show pumped it as a "full on race car" to make it sound more interesting I guess. Personally, I think it's cool that it beat those cars and is still so civilized.

itmooves, I'll be looking for my "appreciation" gift in the mail soon......

Interesting, he did tout your STI like a "full on race car"...more than a couple of times. You should have corrected him....nicely...every time he said it.
