Just watched it off the DVR! Good episode. You drive great and have a fast STI mxpop! Was that 1:22 with the blowpass at Streets of Willow? BTW, I heard Mueller do a 1:21 with his Evo with the blowpass.

They spelled Dan's name wrong, "Harmon" supposed to be "Harman".

Sucks that Tanner got a ticket at the end. He should have known that the ticket rat CHP patrols PCH! The officer sounded all excited giving the ticket.

that was pretty sweet! i like the interior shot of tanner sliding your car at 100+ mph. i couldn't tell what part of the track that was though...

Thanks for the props guys! I am relieved to see that it was a decent show, not nearly as geeky as I had worried about....(altho I didnt think I looked that fat. Camera must add 20lbs )

That was a 1:22.8 for Tanner and a 1:22.6 for me without the blowpass! (we took the long way around) I hear the blowpass is worth about 1.5-2 seconds so 1:20s are possibly in reach, esp with the new motor going in right now....(add about 75whp and 400rpm earlier power )

Also, my car is fully street class legal for Redline time attack, it even has the full interior with power windows, stereo, etc (3100lbs race ready with 1/2 tank). We ran my Yokohama A048 "R" compounds (255-40-17) for the show but I did a bunch of 1:23s when testing on my street compound Neovas (also 255) that had 500 track miles and about 40 heat cycles. (great tires BTW) I even found a shock spring adjuster that had backed off about 1 inch. That had to have thrown my corner balance off a lot, Tanner even mentioned that the car seemed to turn better one way than the other. That guy has great feel!

I bet Meuller was in a stripped car with 275s and Hoosier slicks or the equivelent. Prob at least a mod class or unlimited lass car. Most likely 2800 or less. At least that describes the car I saw him do 1:22s with last year and I doubt he went faster recently in a lesser car.

That slide shot with Tanner out the side window was incredible! It was entering turn 1 area which is about the fastest part of the track. Tanner is a great and impressive driver. He only did about 10 laps in my car and I bet he could have gone faster if he had another 10 but the light was going down and SCC needed to do their testing on my car (thats another crazy story....). I was pleased to hear that he felt my car was so well set up. He did say that it may have another second in it with some adjustments. I will try his suggestions at my next test day in 2 weeks.

Thanks again for the props and support! Too bad that no one seems to be able to spell Dan Harman's name right tho

i caught the later airing today and it was awesome! You did a great job representing the subaru crowd Jean, and your car looked bad ass in the process.

And that one slide going through turn 1, holy crap. I was watching with a friend and he asked, "how the hell did he not spin out??" I turned and said, "awd baby!"

Anyways, nicely done and i look forward to hearing about your experiences with SCC.

That was an excellent show. The Aston Martin caught my eye so I kept watching (I tend to flip thru stations pretty quickly). Thankfully I did - saw that beautiful STi disgracing a $120K Aston and Viper. I thought for sure the Viper would come out the victor.

Jolly good show! Can't wait to get my STi back even more now!

Awesome show man, you did a really good job. How many mods do you really have in that car? Did you ever ride with Tanner in your own car? (to see what he did with it?)

got to see it yesterday. good show. their comment about the aston being designed for the open highway is bullox though. britts don't build cars for booring interstates. they build them for winding roads. streets of willow might be a little too tight but that doesn't relegate the car to the superslab.

you car was impressive. others have already said as much. for the a-m to keep up deserves props for a factory car... even if it does sell (off the floor) for half again as much as your STi with double (or triple) MSRP invested in it.
