Default FS: MI, home Theater Equipment feeler

This is a feeler for some home theater equipment. Time to upgrade for various reasons, and id liek to send these off to deserving people.

first up:

Denon AVR-3805 reciever.$450

link to specs/stock photos- Denon USA | AVR-3805

as you can see, this is a limited silver version. not too common. this thing is a beast and was a $1300 reciever two years ago when puchased new. care was taken for cleanign every month and was run on a Monster HTS 3600 power center for its entire life, so you know it was never spiked or even used dirty power. id like to get $450 for this. This big boy will deliver A/V to 3 rooms silmultaneously. it is a GREAT entry level home theater reciever, does all the HD switching you need it too. inquire for more info. shipping might not be cheap, its a 40lb reciever.

second, HP z555 home theater media server. $400.

link to CNET review/photos- HP Entertainment Center Z555 (Pentium 4 3GHz, 512MB RAM, 250GB HDD) Reviews. Desktops Reviews by CNET.

this unit was also in the $1200 range when purchased a year and a half ago. This is an all in one unit that will be a DVR for HDTV, DVD player, music/video/picture server. this thing was great when i used it but i started switching over to a different style of server for my home theater recently, and used this more or less as a second clone unit, with the plasma as a monitor for it. If you are strictly digital, this is for you. it can do it all, and as reviews show it does. its not a 20,000 dolalr rotel unit, but for the price it will perform on demand. it has a good GeForce card in it as well. good for gaming.

last, and this is JUST A FEELER:

Sony KDE-42XBR950 42" Plasma: $3100

link to review and some pics- Sony KDE-42XBR950 Plasma TV Review from the Plasma Television Buying Guide

OK, so i cant really explain much about this TV, as its more for "peopel who know" kind of thing. it is practically in a league of its own for reproduction. this is the big hitter that sony produced three years ago. initial prices were topping $10,000. i bought it for $5k two years ago. you might say: "i can jsut go to best buy and get a plama for like $1500." ok, well then jsut do that, cause you arnt educated in video reproduction. this isnt for best buy type owners. this is for peopel who are videophiles. it isnt a 1080p. unless you use blue ray or hd-dvd a lot that wont matter. 1080p native content is few adn far between. few PS3 games are actualyl native 1080p anyway. but if you really want to want a top shelf, professional quality calibrated HD monitor, this is for you. used two years practically to the day. the audio is supposed to eb amazing on this unit, but it has never been turned on. speakers have NEVER been fired up. i will verify tht they do work fo course if you are actualyl interested.

if you are interested, plan on some crazy shipping. maybe like $300 OR SO FOR QUALITY SHIPPING. whatever, we can work somethign out.
