12 mpg on premium, and I can't sit upright in them. I even had material removed from the seat bottom in my last one,....and my head was still on the roof. And because the seatbelts are built into the seats,..you can't just install aftermarket ones. I had to make a major upgrade,.....which is why I'm driving the STI now. I can actually sit upright in it. The 850 is just a toy really,...something to go out to dinner a few times a year. Couldn't leave it in a parking lot,...couldn't go to work in it (didn't want my employees or customers seeing me in it),...it used to much gas to go on trips,...and on cruize night no one would ever talk to me. So after having them sit in my garage for years,..I decided to make room for something I could actually use. But if someone's interested in one,..I'd be glad to help them out. I am VERY knowledgable about them. They can be bought in the $8,000 and up range,..although it's better to buy one that doesn't need anything for $20,000. Mine was pretty much flawless. I bought the black one for $20,000,...then spent $5,000 on it,..and sold it 2 years later for $23,500. I think it had almost 60,000 miles on it at the time. The kid thing is definitely a good point, but I still think it's crazy that a 5 year old car would cost more monthly than something fresh off the lot. I won't be surprised if my insurance goes up next year once these companies have a better idea of what these things cost to fix...

![]() Also note that a lot of the cost is going to be based on the likelihood of the car to be wrecked or stolen. As the STi is an economy car that thinks it's a sports car, and the 135i is a 3 series with new duds (I'm simplifying, yes), there's likely to be fewer people buying them to asshat around in. And the 135 is WAY less likely to be swiped. We can probably chalk it all up to the Fast and Furious charge. You could call your insurance agent and actually ask. Otherwise, I'm just speculating.

And yes, I would agree that the 135i is far less "stealable" than the STi so that probably has quite a bit to do with it as well.

An accurate comparison would be if you owned both the coupe and sedan. Then all of the aforementioned variables would be static.

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2006 Trader Rating: (6) | My thoughts exactly. And it is his asking price. Might be able to get them for less. Shipping would be an issue.. |

Contrary to popular belief it's not that expensive to ship wheels and/or tires it's just a pain in the ass to package them and take them to be shipped...
