Ok, so I need to make a list of stuff for my relatives to go by when shopping for my birthday. I have the following things on the list as of now, some of which may be removed due to the expense...

Shredder
Camera mount
Speed bleeders + power bleeder
Gift card (Sears, Home Despot, Lowes, Murray's)
Dremel
Quick jack
Porter Cable or other random orbital polisher

Any suggestions?

2 suggestions:
  1. Get the cordless Dremel! I have a corded one and it's great (as all Dremels are), but can't tell you how many times it's gotten in the way while working in the garage. Please take this advice!
  2. Get the Porter Cable. I have some no-name polisher and while it's great, it's "meh" compared to the Porter Cable I'm borrowing from someone right now. I will be buying one of these to replace my current polisher in the future - it's that nice.
EDIT: 3rd suggestion: start asking for impact sockets and tools! I know you don't have a garage capable of supporting air tools at the moment; however, these things are EXPENSIVE. I started making a list of stuff I want the other day and now wish I would have done this 5 years ago... Even if they sit in packages for 2-3 years, it's like a 401(k) - starting now is much better than starting later!

It's been real guys. Even though I'm no longer a Subie owner it's still a lot of fun hanging out, BSing in this thread and most of all MODDING! Whether sun, rain or snow it seems we've had a fairly decent turnout. Unfortunately I'll be missing a bunch of meets come September (due to school again), but will continue to make as many as I can.

Here's lookin' to another fun year!
yahhh yes another year, lets keep it goin guys!! good frends have been made, many lessons have been learned, and many more ahead of us. im glad ESSO was formed, because with out ESSO my mondays would suck lol, and i wouldnt have met great ppl, yea its true we all have something in common, we all owned OR currently own a subaru, but things are now personal in terms of freindship.

(jay) though your back in school, it would be great to see your ugly mug every once in a while, besides your one of the lead founding members of ESSO!!! ya gotta watch your baby grow!!!

oh and hey we gotta do another outting/event, like another day karting or whatever, hell even a detail day or install day!!!

Awesome pics, Donnie - I dig! And yes, I'll do my best to be out as much as possible. School starts in September and while it'll be insanely busy it's a 13 week semester vs. a 7 week (like the one I just finished) so I should be able to make it out more often - skipping class will be far less detrimental!

Also, if at all possible would you mind burning the originals to CD for me? There are definitely a couple I'd like to use as my desktop wallpaper AND I like to keep any/all pics of my car (I have like 8 gigabytes worth of pics of the STi!). Very nice work!

Sorry to jump in guys but just wanted to let everyone know that I am trying to get rid of some stock 05 STi springs and my K&N Typhoon intake with 2 cones if anyone is interested. I would be more than willing to bring by the meet.

Anyhow, I hope lots of you are coming to Waterford this weekend. Looks like we will get plenty of track time with such low attendance.

Finally, that 135i is pretty sick. Nice combo man.

It's a post whore thread (with a side of "ESSO" gathering that is)... and we don't discriminate against any kind of whoring!

I'd probably come out and check things out this weekend, but I unfortunately have to go out of town.

Thanks for the compliments on the car!

I'll be there. When are you getting to the track? We should all park together.
