I rode every day for 2 years. My cut-off point was -15. I went to a BMW club Sunday breakfast one time in my rather nice Cadilac. None of the members knew I owned a car. It was 10-15 below and my bike wouldn't start. By the next week I had engineered a method for starting the bike (a 1988 BMW K75s). I would park it in front of the dryer vent exit of the apartment building,...then connect a cardboard box between the vent exit and the bike,...and wrap the bike in plastic and insert the 75 cents in the dryer. 15 minutes would get the oil and battery warm enough to start the bike.
