IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | Ok, so I'm chasing this evo on to the highway. I had just left the novi meet so the car wasn't really up to temp. When I floored it, the car was only boosting to indicated 16psi (vs ~21-22psi usually) and was making and unusual whistling noise. After a few (4-5) throttle applications of boosting, the boost was reading right and the whistling was gone. It seems I have a boost leak, but only when something is cold. anyone have a suggestion as to what it might be? I think this started happening at the last track day where the boost gauge T popped off, but those are zip tied now and I don't think they are leaking (unless the zips aren't tight enough). |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | The weird and annoying part is that it goes away in short order, but I think I can eliminate things like throttle and BPV gaskets as those won't expand like a rubber hose would. I might remove the T junction and disconnect the boost sensor line, and replace the hose with the original to see if that helps. Might wait for the weekend to do that however. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 Trader Rating: (11) | Thoughts? Picture the car in black and the wheels in silver minus the red stripe. They're the same size as stock, but with a miniscule difference in offset and a few pounds lighter each (these are ~18 lbs). More than likely I'd get BMW center caps as well...
