Aaaah, OK. Although there aren't many cones at the July 4 event. It really isn't an autocross, they just call it that. It's really a time-trial. The only cones that you have to navigate is a slalom they put in the straight to keep speeds down. Other than that,.....it's open track,...(one lap at a time).

Here's a video of a guy in a Civic (or is it a Hyundai) doing a run in 2006.

July 4th is not a good day for me anyway.

And that looks like a Saturn or a Toyota Echo based on the cluster placement.

Based on the s/c whine and cluster I'm guessing Ion Redline.

I have an office; however, I try to only blast stuff through the speakers when nobody out of the norm is around... Luckily for me we have a security door that beeps coming in to the NOC so I know when somebody is on their way in.

Actually, I'm in the middle of a decision right now and can't figure out what I want to do...

I like these grills:

However, I don't care for them on a black car because they look TOO dark... I am playing with the idea of using the outer part of the stock grills combined with the inner part of the shadowline grills though.

Thoughts?

(Not my best PS job, but you get the idea...)

Meh. Leave it stock. The difference isn't appreciable. Or paint them in an anthracite or other color. Black needs an offset.

I think the chrome ring is a BMW character trait and thus Clayton's car looks weird to me without them. You must keep the chrome ring, but painting the inside might be ok. Your PS is too dark IMO, but it might look good in person. Maybe you could trade with Clayton just to see how his would look.

See, I do like them on Clayton's car because the 135i tii is white and rocks similar ones and (IMO) that car looks good.

Now on my car I think it'll look wayyy too blacked out, so it needs something to offset it a little... not to mention I like that character trait of the chrome ring as well.

Ryan could probably be convinced to part with some pieces, but you'd have to ask him.

I know he posted it above, but here's a link to his page again for details: 2005 STi For Sale

Black it out! I think that looks better. Dedicate some black masking or electrical tape to a tryout and see how it really looks in person. No harm done if you don't like it! If you like it then change to black!

BTW, me creamy all day.....Five that's right FIVE ZR1's to look at closely, touch, smell, drool at today....they were multiplying like bunnies!

2 Blue with chrome wheels
1 Black with the satin wheels
2 Grey with chrome wheels

Most of the pictures I've seen don't do the car justice.....all the carbon fiber is pure sex!

I just made an offer on a set. I really don't think it'll end up COMPLETELY blacked out, but at least the centers will be. I guess I'll just have to see them installed. The grill surrounds are gloss black and satin black for the middle - so I guess I could be convinced.

And do me a favor: steel one of those cars for me. Color and wheel combo makes absolutely no difference... just take the one closest to the gate since you'll need to get away as quickly as possible with 4 others trying to chase you down.

Not before I get one of my own!

And they are not outside! These have more eyes on them at all times.
Never have I seen so much attention! I pity the first reported "incident" with one!
