I thought I was good on the power situation,..then this morning (Tuesday) at about 6:00 am,...BAM! An explosion woke me up,....2 down lines in the backyard,..big fires and lots of arcing noise for a few hours.

DTE was out by 11,..but a pole is down too,...so not likely to get fixed today.

My house relies on a sump pump to keep the basement from flooding. Battery backups,.....but still I need to run the generator for 30 min every 3-4 hours.

Sux.

At least I made it thgough the hot days with A/C. Today and tonight are supposed to be real nice. Tomorrow night pretty nice. So I'll live.

Thanks!

Hope you make it without power - I know I'd be DYING without air! For whatever reason my parents refuse to get an A/C (they've NEVER owned one) and I'm not sure why. I know I'll probably be cursed this winter for saying this, but I think I'd rather be without heat in the winter than without A/C in the summer!

I don't have A/C (essentially) in my apartment here. Technically, it is easier for the body to cool off than to get warm. You run out of hot water after a while. Cold water is almost always available. Even so, I prefer to be frigid than sweltering, just as do you.

Hey fellow ESSO crew..

Sadly, I have decided to change cars. Like Jay, I have also ordered a 135i and so the STi must be sold.

I would appreciate if any of you who have seen my car would like to attest to the quality that the car is in could go an say so in the following posts on iwsti and nasioc.

http://www.iwsti.com/forums/cars-sal...-spotless.html

05 STi, 29k miles, Southeast MI - NASIOC

This will be in both the iwsti and the nasioc ESSO threads.

See you all next meet!

Glad you got power back. The damn studs haven't even shipped yet so far as I can tell, so it'll be a number of weeks, not days, before we can do it. I'm most worried about seized caliper bolts...

BUMP for this place being too quiet!

Anyone out there have any mods on order or waiting to be installed? It's Summer, people - break out your credit cards and spend some $$ before they melt in your hot wallet(s)!

I got a spare rear trunk badge in the mail. I still have outrigger bushings to install.

I'm rolling on 255/40 RE01Rs as of Tuesday and I <3 them. And they clear.

I have extended wheel studs on order. I'm pricing custom hubcentric spacers.

Sweet! Those are the most awsome-est street tires made (if you don;t mind a bit of noise). Time to do some autocrosses and track days. For sure you're geared up for it.

If I minded noise, I wouldn't have had the Falkens before these. I'm looking forward to the July day at Waterford. I'll be registering for it sometime next week.

You'll be with me in the race-tire class. (Anything wider than a 245 on an AWD turbo car is considered race tire,....as is any treadwear rating below 140). That's why I had the 245/45/17 REO1R's.

I'll be on Nitto NT-01's by July. Got 'em in the garage already.

No no. Not the autocross. I don't do cones. I'm talking about the July 6 OTD.
