Man if you were here in NJ, I would gladly help you out bro. I did the whole thing on my own, it was a PITA but it just feels so damn good to do my own work on my car and not pay someone else.

Warning: The linkage pin(s) are the worst part of the install. Just be patient and give yourself an extra 2hrs alone just for getting that pin out and putting it back in when you rebuild.

Good luck and post a review when you are done. Share the love you are going to have for that kit.

Depending on when you choose to do this, I can make my 2 left hands available to help. I'd like to see the difference between the TIC and the factory ss kit.

Man, I wish I would keep on top of the midwest threads! I don't check in often enough, except on subscribed threads.

I installed kartboy front and rear stay bushings, TiC shifter linkage bushings, and TiC pivot bushing into my STi short-throw linkage...and also threw a Cobb double adjustable short shifter on. Took me about 6 hours Did it on jackstands, at my parents place in Michigan.

Pictures/notes from the install/etc... http://www.iwsti.com/forums/showthre...208#post960208

("Special" tools I remember off the top of my head: punch to remove linkage. Also will need the usuals: jack, stands, torque wrench, sockets/ratchets, etc.)

I might be able to lend a watchful eye...

There's a few sticky points that can lead to trouble though, so just be aware:

- Putting in the rear stay, there's high chance of cross-threading
- Getting the linkage out is a pain due to the roll pin that holds it in
- Fine point needle nose pliers are a must for the shift lever.

Screw that, you can buy all the tools you need for $85 or less...

I'd offer my tools up for use, but they are in Michigan 310 miles away
