Default Goin' Stage II...

Hey fellas... I've got some surprise fun money coming my way and it will cover my going Stage II. Now where should I go for a spottless install and what should I expect to pay? I want a clean and professional install and I also want to have my stock STI axle back cut and welded on to my new Cobb catted turboback. Let me know your thoughts guys. Oh, and I'm in St. Louis.

I would install it yourself if you can, it's really not that hard at all and there are plenty of tutorials here and around the net that show and tell you everything you need to know.

Not sure what you'd pay, but you don't need the Axel Back cut or welded or anything. I assume you bought just a downpipe (you said turboback, but I think you mean DP by itself). To change the DP it just bolts right up to the turbo and the Cat Back. The DP should come with a gasket for the DP to Cat Back, but you'll need the gasket from Turbo to DP.

It is not hard to do. If you going to pay someone, then I will do it for cheap.

EM would be in the form of Cobb AP, which I already have. I realize it is an easy install, but I don't really have a way to lift my car, nor the tools to do the job. However, I have a mechanic buddy who's family owns a shop here in town... they work mainly on highend cars, and he suggested he and I meet at his shop some Saturday and do the install together.

Sorry, I should have made that last part more clear. I really just want the "STI" exhaust tip off the stock axle-back and welded onto/over the exhaust tip of the Cobb axle-back. Basically I want it to appear stock with the factory STI tip. Also I just like the look of the STI exhaust tip.

Again I agree, it doesn't look that difficult. For now it looks like it will just cost me a sixer of beer, but I'll keep you in mind. Thanks!
