IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Hey guys and gals. I'm starting my first year at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI which is in the UP. I'm doing pre-med and then dental with possibly an extended focus on chemistry and a minor in spanish. I was wondering if anyone is from around here? I don't quite exactly have an STi anymore but was wondering if the STi community is expanded to up here as well. Thanks, Gunter This ad is not endorsed by this member. | Junior STI Driver | Long winters Great if you like to snowmobile. That area was me and my wifes favorite spot to go snowmobiling. The Keweenaw has to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Enjoy, 300 plus inches of snow a year. Better invest in a AWD like a Subaru STI . |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Haha, yeah it's absolutely beautiful up here. I heard the fall is even better. I've seen more 2.5 RS's up here than I've ever seen in my life, haha. They're so sweet. I'll work on getting another STi but I like the SUV and it's got like 95k on it so I plan to work it to death, haha. |

I wish I had my STi while I was up there rather than my shiitty Ford exploder with which the 4WD didn't feel like working. Thankfully it had a LSD in the rear. Invest in snow tires, it helps a lot. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Haha, thanks for the info. Seriously now, I just saw a 06-07 CGM STi driving through campus the other day. Sounded like it had an aftermarket exhaust and it was wingless...fess up if it was you. |

| Junior STI Driver | Its a great school I graduated there in 2004...although if you are going pre med I would have picked a school with a few more ladies... I plan on being up there for the LSPR in a few weeks, that is always a good time. Perhaps we can catch you at the KBC or the Library. |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | Hey man!, Hope you are enjoying your time here in Houghton! I have been at MTU for 4 1/2 years now and will be graduating this December. Be sure to get out to the LSPR (Oct. 17-18). They should be having an information session in Fisher sometime the week of the 13th about the rally. If you are interested, I am sure they still have open positions for course marshalls, no experience necessary! Ps: I have a WRB 08 WRX that you may have seen putzing around. Yeah I know, not an STi. But I really do enjoy this community and the information that can be found here on IWSTI -Jason This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
