| Amateur STI Driver | Hey All, Looking to find the exact guidelines for passing inspection in Maryland. I live right near VA, So I would hate to buy a car with an exhaust system that won't pass. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

| Amateur STI Driver | Thanks. I took a look at the website and it is pretty vague with the check list. It just says it inspects exhaust and emmissions equipment. The car I'm looking at only has 1 high flowing cat and I know stock it comes with 2. This is where my concern is. |

| Amateur STI Driver | The emissions test happens usually with in 2 years of owning the car, and as long as no CELS are on and it passes the smog hook up your good to go. I thought when they 1st inspect it, before you can get tags and registration, they will check to see if the exhaust meets the specs. Thanks for the input so far. I might try to call a dealership I used to work at. |
