IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Hey all, So my family recently moved to Great Falls VA, and i brought my car home for one last full summer from school (in Oregon). I need to get tested soon and I am wondering if it is necessary to swap my stock DP back on and drop my tune down to stage 1. I currently have a catless DP, stock catback and COBB stage 2. I know in MD i wouldn't need to do anything, but how crazy are they? Any and all info will help. Thanks! Mike This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

In fact, when I got my "safety" inspection (not emissions) done back in March, the guy failed me for my Invidia DP (w/ cat) because he didn't recognize the cat. I had to show it to him and then he passed me. Bottom line, unless you have antique plates, you need a cat. Hope this helps! |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Yeah MD does the OBD2 port as well, so i wouldn't need to take it off. Where did you get tested? Thanks for the info brothers. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I don't have any cels.... I think i'm going to wing it because i really don't feel like taking mine off and back on. Hopefully i pass. It's getting tested at a shell gas station that is down the road from my mom's house. So i really don't think they're going to be hardcore about it.... hopefully. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Thanks for the warning, but i actually went down today and got tested at an exxon by my house and passed without a cat. I guess like all types of business, some places are more lax than others. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
