You really didn't know that?!?! The ones that have been running 10's had DRs I think, and of course a freaking awesome driver mod.

here is the c6 z06 fast list from corvetteforum.com, The C6 Z06 Fast List - Corvette Forum

Only 1 person has run 10's bone stock on the oem run flats, 3 others have done it with drag radials.

just like driving subarus, the 60ft is everything with a Z06. I havent been able to cut anything better than a 2.0x, which consistently nets me a 12.0x @ 121mph. Also, both times I have been to the track it was africa hot, coolant temps never made it below 205.

Ranger's biggest tip is to keep the car below 185 degrees, which is almost impossible in south alabama. He claims the Z begins to pull timing as soon as it reaches 185 degrees and higher.

haha! My main goal is reliability and driveability. I didnt want to go with a forced induction setup because of the 11:1 comp on the stock motor. people are safely running 5-6psi and making 600whp, but I elected to stay n/a.

I have a bunch of parts in my dining room, just waiting on my headers to arrive before going to the shop. my killerbee cold air, american racing headers and x pipe, katech cam/springs, and harland sharp rocker arms should get me to 535-550 range depending on the dyno. basically, a 80-90whp gain over stock. that's a lot, considering I have spanked numerous cars bone stock, including a 565whp shelby, 08 m5, 03 cobra 500whp, 500whp sti, 550whp gto, etc. the only close race was the shelby, which i took down by a little over a car length.

I dont have a specific qtr mile goal, just want to trap 100mph in the 8th and 130mph in the qtr. my new setup should be good for mid/upper 10's on drag radials, however I will probably stick with the oem run flats. I hope to hit upper 10's or low 11's, which should keep me content for now.

Nice, I mean with all those kills I would be too giddy to do anymore mods, but then again I don't really have anywhere to go 85+ (I only live near the twisties). I can't imagine you going back to drive a stock sti, it would probably feel like eternity before you hit 100 mph.

Do you ever notice your car gains too much speed when you hit the canyons or race tracks? I felt even at stage 2, I couldn't enjoy the mountains as I would reach way to o high of speeds to quickly, and with my novice driving skills, led me to brake way too much to enjoy the drive. Sorry for the off-topic man, I think this thread needs some more z06 pictures

Awesome plates, I wanted 8URVIPR before I got rid of my Vette. That baby needs to be lowered just a tad and it would look dead sexy.
