actually, the Z is only 30k more than a brand new 08 STi. It's worth it, haha!

Wise, besides you still have plenty to play with other cars too.

I am leaning towards a qm600 cam package $700, which should get me to 575rwhp-600rwhp. I'd like to play with the car for a little bit before voiding my engine warranty.
MGW shifters are unreal. Smart move!

MGW shifter is being installed this friday, killer bee intake and dyno tune next week. I should be able to pick up 25-30whp between the intake and tune. I might also install the ported intake manifold and throttle body for another 10-15whp. Should put me in the neighborhood of 500whp.

I have done a few things to the Z, killer bee intake with a vette air scoop, mgw shifter, clear bra, tint, and the mild 2 wild exhaust switch. I have not put her on the dyno, and has not been tuned. Not sure which direction I am going to take with her yet.

I actually took the Z to the track last weekend....let's just say I need to learn how to drive a rwd V8. It's a far stretch from an awd turbo. I made 3 pass's, all very consistent (slow)

2.0 60ft, 7.98 @ 95.86, 12.06 @ 120.98mph
2.0 60ft, 7.98 @ 94.93, 12.04 @ 120.95mph
2.1 60ft, 8.01 @ 94.05, 12.06 @ 121.47mph

I definitely need to work on the launch, and shift slower because TM is killing the throttle after each shift when the tires spin. I will not take traction control off, worried I might put her into a wall. I also have vids of my runs, I'll try to post them up soon. fwiw, my friend brought his 08 LS3 Z51 vette and the best he could run was a 13.8 @ 109mph. we both were teh suck!

YIKES. Those look like C5 Z06 passes. Also I ran a 13.8 in the vette in my sig, so it happens. Also you can take traction control off without any probs if you know how to drive at all. I was pushing quite a bit more power than a stock C6 Z06 and had no issues. I would run mine in Competitive driving mode at the drag strip; I'm not sure if the C6's still have that feature though.

The way to go is to put it into Competitive driving mode (which is enabled by pushing the traction button 5+ seconds). In this mode, traction control will be OFF, but the stability management will be ON (with more room than normal), which will protect you if you ever go off your desired direction

Careful...otherwise some wiseacre is gonna confuse this little lovefest for something else.

OK, bets: how long are the rear tires gonna last on Burnin's new ride?
