i know, i know, haha! in all honesty, a stock z is a wicked ride. but after 6 months of owning her, I'm ready to step it up a notch. the cam I bought really isnt that big, it will give me about 60whp increase over my current mods (american racing headers/xpipe, killerbee cai/vette air, ported intake manifold/tb) with gave me 37/40 over stock. I expect to be around 550/500 when it's all said and done.

I couldnt be happier with the car, except the payment could be a little lower, haha! oh well, I'll definitely take some vids and post them up asap.

I'm headed to the track Sun Oct 5th, and my buddy that has an 08 LS3 + paxton novi is going with me. I'd like to see my mph, no big expectations for et's with my stock runflats, although low 11's should easily be attainable. On the following monday my lethal z cam will be installed. cam + cai + headers are consistently achieving mid 10's in the low/mid 130's.

Actually, I had a brand new oem R180 with less than 1k when I sold it, not sure if he upgraded it. However, there were dss level 5 axles, cv joints, and hubs.....which ended being hell on the clutch and drivetrain. stick with the stockers.

thanks! I put a lot of time and energy into that car. In the end, my interestes simply evolved into a new Z06. I will definitely own another sti, i have no doubts.

I went to the dragstrip today, wanted to get a few baseline pass's before my cam goes in this/next week. my current mods...american racing headers/hi flow x pipe, killerbee cold air intake with a vette air scoop, ported intake manifold/tb, and a dyno tune. the dyno was having issues, so I'm guessing 490/450 range. my best pass was 11.68 at 125mph, with a lovely 2.1 60ft. when my z was bone stock, I ran 12.0 at 121mph with a 2.1 60ft.

I believe a set of drag radials will put my car into the 10's as she sits right now, many others haev already done it with the same mods. I just cant seem to rip off 1.6's like i could in my sti. the oem runflats are not dragstrip friendly, my best so far is 2.0, haha!

my buddy brought his 08 LS3 with headers and a paxton novi kit, 520/475. he is also a former scooby owner, 500whp+ 35r/sti. I beat his azz all day, his best was a 12.0 at 124mph, with a 2.0 60ft. here's a few pics...





you will not be able to hear my car over his off-road xpipe, that fugger is loud!!!
