Didn't I read a test somewhere where these cars already put down close to 480whp, bone stock? IOW, I think the 505bhp factory rating is, er, a little low.

If true, I think your targets, in both power and ET, are safe bets.

guys, this Z06 is no joke....I completely raped a 500whp Sti last night, as well as a 500whp 04 Cobra. Neither of the races were close, both from a 40mph roll. I put a solid 10 car lengths on the 35r'd STi by the top of 4th gear, and I even let him punch it first.

from a dig it would have been competitive, from a roll it wouldnt have been a contest. the torque is instant, the powerband is insane, the gears are long, and the Z just keeps on pulling to 200mph....although i havent witnessed that myself yet.

Sti's are a blast to drive, but the Z is a completely different beast.

My dad just ordered the 1-4 shift skip eliminator, as well as the Haltech Killer Bee intake.
Thinking about short shifter, sways, T-stat, and exhaust cut-outs.

Haha.. and some other cars will be faster than z06. So no one should spend money at all. z06 is 40k more than our STi. It better be fast v8 7.0.

I'm probably gonna go with a killerbee intake with the vette-air, ported throttle body and manifold, and a mgw shifter (ordered today). I'm not gonna do headers right now, not enough bang for the buck.

I am leaning towards a qm600 cam package $700, which should get me to 575rwhp-600rwhp. I'd like to play with the car for a little bit before voiding my engine warranty.
