IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2005 Trader Rating: (1) | Damn Austin your car still probobly one of the best out there that isnt a shop car. You have everything on my "to do list" im getting close, minus the stage v motor and and dogbox. I think mid - 10's will be very easy. good job and good luck with your quest of world domination!!!I LL GET there one day my friend. k.c. This ad is not endorsed by this member. IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2004 Trader Rating: (3) | haha, thanks! not trying to dominate the world, just want to make a 10 sec pass. It's a huge personal goal. I dont wanna run 10.999 either, I want solid mid/upper 10 sec car, with a crappy 60ft, haha! good chance I'll rarely visit a track once I get the car to where I want it to be. I just want to keep it in one piece. people often ask me...."what are you trying to do with the car?" everyone knows I like the dragstrip, but I dont want to die at one. My car spins the tires with every gear change, it's hard keeping it in a straight line. I despise roll cages, and I hate wearing helmets, and dragstrips usually are sheit holes, haha. I believe I have finally figured out what I enjoy doing with my car.....taking unsuspecting friends/neighbors/coworkers for balzout pulls on c16, haha! It's funny watching the expression on their face while I'm banging through gears, they are forever changed (most of them). they get out of the car with a "wtf" expression, cracks me up. my car is on jack stands in my garage, waiting for a new r180. I'll get some vids asap. I actually have a vid from last week's trip to the dragstrip, but my car misteriously cut off half way down the track, I'm guess it went into a limp mode. it fired right up and was back to normal after I restarted the car. I'll try to upload it tonight.

I'd keep it as simple as possible. I let Doug figure out the fp wiring, took a little bit of work getting everything right.

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2004 Trader Rating: (3) | i just pulled my r180, seems I broke one of my dss "1000whp" axles/cv joints. I snapped the spindle in the inner cv joint, which in turn destroyed the differential. this damn car!!! arg! |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2004 Trader Rating: (3) | dss has graciously agreed to send me 2 new inner cv joints for my level 5 axles. seems they had a defect which caused them to break. I have a replacement r180 in my garage, should have everything installed early/mid next week. I'm probably going to go back to the strip to see if I can make a 10sec pass before my next tune. <--- currently running 23psi 545/488-----> expecting mid 600's on c16/30psi. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2004 Trader Rating: (3) | thanks! although she is down for another day or 2 until I get replacement cv joints from dss. here's a vid from my trip to the track last week....it was my very first pass with my new motor/tranny. I didnt launch the car, just wanted to make a shake down pass. I didnt push the car down the track, just went through 1st-3rd gears. but anyway....
