Default El Diablo a.k.a. Teh Devil's Wagon is here... RFFG's Journal ...

See post#46 for wagon

Well, it's about time I started a journal. I read Bruce Chapman's a.k.a Neanderthal Racing's first post and I got inspired hahaha

Well, let me start with the car itself. It's a 2004 STI that I bought August 5, 2005 with 22,700 miles.

I went online and started searching for information on the vehicle itself, because to be honest with you, I knew nothing about the car. I found iwsti.com, read a little, and joined Aug. 14th. (best mod I ever did )

Well, my first mod was the K&N short ram intake, which I had on the car 10 days after I bought it. Then my friend with an EVO IX (Intake, TBE) wanted to run to see how we stacked up... he beat me by a car ...so being the car guy I am I bought an HKS TBE the next day , then we ran and I got him...(Disclaimer: Don't street race )

Shortly after my clutch took a bad one (and the slipping caused the engine to drink oil "literally") and to make a long story short I ended up getting a new shortblock and complete clutch aseembly under warranty...

The car put down 288whp / 276wtq about with those mods. Since school & expenses have me by my ass and my wallet I haven't really done much to the car, but that should change soon

Enough of that, here's some pics...

Mod list:

Engine:
-K&N Short Ram Intake (Red)
-HKS D/P
-HKS Hi-Power Exhaust
-Ported wastegate

Brakes / Suspension:
-Cusco strut tower brace (Front)
-Cobb strut tower brace (Rear)
-Powerslot rotors
-Hawk HPS Pads

Exterior:
-RavSpec Carbon Fiber Lip (V Limited / S203) Style

Sitting @ home waiting to be installed
-RCE Yellow Springs

Coming soon:
Walbro 255
AP / Protune
COBB / Whiteline Sways
Group N Top Hats
Kartboy / COBB Shifter / Bushings
Brake Lines / Fluid
And I'm tossing around the idea of a wet 50 shot of nitrous oxide...

Hopefully this will turn into a nice build thread down the road, but those mods should be enough until I get more $$$...

Yea, next up will probably be walbro & header + AP stage 2 protune, sways, springs, kartboy shifter w/bushings... Not necessarily in that order

Oh, and I might go wingless...

And I'm tossing around the idea of a wet 50 shot of nitrous oxide...Those are the realistic mods as of now...

After that, I want to pay off the car and build it BIG..., but for that I have to wait and see...I might just pull the trigger before it's paid off

This is a really expensive hobby...

Looks good man, your next mods and a protune should help out a lot in the fun factor. Good luck with everything.
