That looks awesome. I love 17" wheels

EDIT: I really love those wheels. Your setup is pretty ideal to me visually. Now you need to go out and take more pics!

I know CE's are really light, but you went WIDE...how much do just the rims weigh? With tires?

I can throw the wheels with tires mounted on a bathroom scale if necessary.

We had Subaru Challenge in Atlanta this past weekend, what a blast.

Tried to go all out on the last run, I took one of the salolm too fast and tried to dodge a cone, hit some gravel and spun out...oh well. I learned my lesson.

Out of all the pictures everyone took, they only had a picture of me spinning out WRC style ignore the bald dude

found another some time later

haha those pics remind me of when I have only a 24 whiteline rsb and got pretty good at lift-off throttle drifts .

By the way, what coilovers or springs are you running? Your car looks such a nice stance!

I have been driving without boost for the past couple of days due to a methanol pump failure. Thought about loading the regular-fuel real time map, but my tuner told me that particular map wasn't exactly 'safe' either, a bit too much timing. My methanol doesn't come on until 11-12psi. However I decided I'm not going to risk anything and have been keeping out of boost altogether. One thing I do not like about IWG is the actuator is set so high, something like 19psi so I can't simply turn off the boost controller and be safe. If this was EWG, i would run a 12psi spring, turn the boost controller off and I'll be running just fine without methanol.

On any other time of the year, I would've taken another car to drive, but my emission is coming up and I recently resolved the misfire issue. So the ECU was reset and it needs miles to be emission ready so I'm trying to pile on as much mile as possible before my tag expires. Imagine me trying to accelerate out of a toll station on the highway, modulating throttle so the boost gauge needle doesn't peak too far into the positive pressure range... it is excruciatingly painful. Now I appreciate the power so much more now and the boostless 8.5:1 2500cc enegine totally lacks power, i would estimate around 110whp on a good day.

So be greateful of all the potential under your right foot and enjoy the powa.

I really like how you have stock suspension other than sways and bracing with NASTY tires . How do you like how it handles with that setup? Oh and the front mount also looks awesome it says that you mean business lol. Love your whip buddy looks great!

Sucks to hear about your meth failure, but I must admit your car is absolutely beautiful!

thank you guys for the kind words.

Update: I weighed the 255/40/17 Advan A048 and 17 Volks on the bathroom scale and it came out to be 40lbs even as a tire/wheel combo. Next time I will weigh the Stock BBS with 235/40/17 Bridgestone S-03 Pole Positions to see the weight difference. Even though my scale is most likely inaccurate, but what I'm interested is the change in weight so I would like to see if my larger wheel with wider tire is heavier, even if they are the same weight I would be stoked.

update: Well the past two weeks is not going to well for the STi, first the methanol pump went out and I thought I the issue taken care of but no. It turns out my pump is too old and the control unit has to be re flashed to work the new pump so there goes the day. However the upside is that I decided to use the IC sprayer tank as my methanol tank, boiling methanol in the hot summer month is officially over.

For some unknown reason my power steering/alternator belt was shredded till 1/8inch left of belt, I am glad a friend caught it before it totally snapped. Not exactly sure how, i also have a Perrin crank pulley, would over tightening the pulley be the cause of this? I know over tightening belts will and it was on with excessive tension. Power steering would squeak quite bit since the pulley will seize and creates an unmistakable noise, replaced with Duralast belt, the only available stuff at Autozone. Dropped by Subaru of Gwinnett and picked up the A/C belt and Power Steering belts plus an oil filter.

Good news, I have decided that I will install and convert the Perrin GT35R kit into a vent atmosphere with anti-clock wise intercooling piping. It's a bit of work chopping off the tube on the downpipe and weld the flange onto a dump tube. A BOV needs to be welded on the custom intercooling piping as well... I think I will also throw in a DC sport header in the mix. I suppose this is the proper way to end the year, happy holidays.
