Default Weight of HKS Carbon/Ti exhaust?

YYYAAAYYY!!!!!!! I am so excited. I have been saving for an sti forever now, and my parents finally helped me buy one today on my 16th birthday. It is a silver/silver, the last one they had on the lot. I have to wait for them to clean it up, this is going to be the longest 2 hours of my life. I got it with a short throw shifter, dimming mirror, upgraded armrest, wheel locks, and security. Paid 1300 under msrp for it. I will post pics as soon as I get it. Wow....i am soooo happy

Congrats, but don't expect me to do cartwheels for you. You're 16. You should be driving something that better matches your skillset behind the wheel. Please be careful and watch what you're doing, especially for us other drivers on the road.

I'm happy for you, but I hate you. Damn you, no one should get an STI for their 16th bd. I wish my parents would do that for me. Oh, how can you be saving up forever for an STI if it only came out a few years ago? Anyways, have fun with your sti...damn you :x

I guess you never have to go through the "worrying about messing up your parents car phase." That teaches you to be a careful driver more than any defensive driving course, IMO! It's like a rite of passage.

Congrats and ur a lucky guy. Just be careful when driving. Try not to show off and get use to the car. I've seen a lot kids and even my friends try to show off and get in bad wrecks. I doubt you'll saved forever on a STI. I remember back in 90s when I was ur age learning about the STI and I never thought that Subaru would acutally bring the STI. Anyway be careful and watch out for other drivers as well.

I remember my first car it was a 84 cavalier wagon and that was a POS. But I pimped the hell out of it.

Congrats! But a 16 year old has no bussiness in a car like an STI. Hey if I had the chance at 16 I would probably have jumped at it too, but i have seen alot of messed up sh!t because of teenage drivers with more balls than sense. Be careful for the sake of the rest of us.

well..I didn;t save forever on an sti. It was about 9 months, but it felt like forever. I made about 16000 dollars, by doing various computer jobs and building an addition to the house. Im not a lazy person who had parents buy this for me, I feel that I earned this. I am kind of nervous to drive this, but I think I will be ok, and im sure I will be safe. 30 more mins till I get to pick it up!! yay!!

Congratulations on your STi!

I encourage you to enjoy your car to the fullest, however, please realize that that car can really get out from under you. It is virtually inevitable that you will get in an accident, and it is up to you to limit the severity of it.

Respect the power of the car, and NEVER EVER DRIVE DRUNK.

Sincerely,
Daniel Kay

you parents should really think twice about giving a 16yo a STi. If i had a 300bhp car at 16, i would have had a bad accident. Im NOT saying your a bad diver you could be the best drive ever, but most people cant handle a STi at 16. I know i couldnt!

I wish you all the best and happy bday.

Well, thank you all for the advice, I will take it to heart.

Shifting is fun, but it is way different than my atv that I am used to. Hills are really hard, but im getting the hang of it.

Here is a pic of me with the sti at the dealer

Here is a pic of it I took a few mins ago with it in the driveway

Ill take some more pics tommorw when it is bright outside
