IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2007 Trader Rating: (2) | 6/12/08: Change from thin to thick outrigger bushings WOW. Talk about a NOTICABLE difference! Confirmed with Clint at TiC that the thicks would work in this application, he said yes with +NVH. Along with the lockout bolts, the thick bushings do a great job of holding the butt in place. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2007 Trader Rating: (2) | 6/15/08: Auto Intercooler Spray Mod Started this mod last night, while sick. Called it quits and will finish it up today. I have everything ready to plug-in and adjust. I'll post a couple of pics when I'm done. A HUGE thanks to Wolfplayer and a couple of other regulars in that How-To section!!! Rats-nest of wiring. Found an open splice when I pulled all the tape off. Redid as much as possible w/ tape and wire loom. Did the rest w/shrink-tubing. ![]() Switch is wired. Had to use the Dremel to trim off all the junk on the back of the switch blank. Handy tool for stuff like this! ![]() It was a little tricky figuring out how to go from 1/8 plastic tubing to the "T" but a few 1/8 id rubber tubes worked just fine. ![]() The finished pressure switch set to about 9 psi. ![]() Final Panel OFF. ![]() Final Panel ON. ![]() Again, another HUGE thanks to Wolfplayer and the folks in the How-To thread! IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2007 Trader Rating: (2) | 6/19/08: Update on previous bushing/parts installs - The Missing Link I now have a few hundred miles since changing my rear outrigger bushings to the thicks. Just prior, I added the subframe lock bolts. I noticed the biggest in the tightness of the rear-end and the shifting with the addition of the outrigger thicks. Everyhing behind the driver feels "connected" and not like you have a nearly isolated drivetrain/suspension. For the rear: Rear Diff Mount Bushings (comfort), Tranny Crossmember Bushings, Rear Outrigger Bushings (comfort, thick), and Subframe Lock Bolts. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2007 Trader Rating: (2) | 7/24/08: No garage == dirty car. <rant>I have been working on a major backyard project and as a result have been unable to use my garage since it is blocked by a pile of dirt. My driveway is a mud bog (fun in truck, bad in STi.) I have not touched the STi other than to drive to/from work. It is dirty has hell, inside and out. Looks to be AT LEAST another week until we're done to the point I can start using the garage again. </rant> I have seen a bunch of STi's in the Frederick, MD area. Almost always while I am at work driving around the area in the engine. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
