IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | Finally going to make a journal. I am on this site every day I kind of just lurk most of the time though. I am a 2006 graduate of the University of Evansville with a degree in Mechanical engineering. I'll actually admit that the Gran Turismo games got me into watching rally and Subaru's. I had deceided long ago that I would buy myself a "graduation present" within a year of graduating. So finally I picked up my 07 WRB STI on September 25 of 2006 with 6 miles on the clock. This picture is one that I took after cleaning it for the first time. ![]() Right now I am Stage II with a Cobb catted turboback, whiteline sways and kartboy endlinks. Plan on going to a 3 inch 20G externally gated, but I need someone to fund that. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | Thanks It's Thermotech copper 2000F heat paint (supposed to help) and Copper heat wrap. I Just wrapped the portion that is in the engine bay. I used 50 ft of wrap so it is really wrapped. I don't know if the paint was worth it but it looks pretty cool, I also sprayed my heat shield. I bought everything from Summit Racing. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | I haven't updated for a while and I thought what the hell. I have been doing a lot of research and I have my engine mod planning mapped out pretty well. Here she goes, I should be completely done by March. 3in inlet 8cm Deadbolt 20g (td-06) setup for EWG APS turbo inlet APS 70mm CAI Process West TMIC Phenolic Intake spaces DIY TGV deletes Maddad Header and uppipe (modded for EWG, also heatwrapped) Tial 44mm Ext wastegate 1 step colder plugs Walbro Fuel pump Deatschwerks 750 cc injectors SMC meth injection kit Boost logic turbo bag gold reflective foil on area around turbo ACPT driveshaft (will buy when I've sold enough stock parts to purchase this) Tune by Scott Siegel I hope for 400/400 and some awesome spool. What do you guys think? |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | Please talk me out of this http://www.full-race.com/catalog/pro...4b1cc6313de24a Full-Race singlescoll T3, by my estimation this will cost a G more than what I have listed above, if I buy all new parts. or this http://www.full-race.com/catalog/pro...4b1cc6313de24a +700 bucks (30R) Last edited by 07WRBSTI; 09-14-2007 at 06:21 AM. |

After emailing back and forth with Geoff @ Full-Race, there is no doubt that they make some amazing parts. I'm waiting until after SEMA to see what they reveal information wise (dyno plots, pictures, reviews) before going ahead with the twinscroll GT3076R kit. You know that both the singlescroll T3 and twinscroll 30R are going to be laggy as hell compared to the 20g setup you had planned, right? |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (13) | The twinscroll 30R is the way I would go, won't be terribly laggy at all. You'll get sick of the minimal gains from the 20G quickly. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | If Full race would make me a kit with like a GT28R or something. I value spool over max power. Plus I would love to stay top mount and don't mind meth injection. I know with a TMIC I will leave some on the table but I want lightning spool. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | Been a while since I've updated this. I got my meth kit in on Wednesday. It's an SMC kit with a spec C intercooler tank and aquamist DDS3 failsafe.
