It depends on lighting and angles, but usually that is what it looks like, unless you are close to the car (5 ft or less), then you can easily tell.
When taking the pictures I wasn't trying to make it blend in at all though.

Looks real good w/ the new trunk. You will love the pc680, I had one in my old bugeye. I took the battery out before I sold the car and it sat around for months. Then put it into my sti and still works great

Over the weekend I went stage 2.
Helix catted downpipe and Borla Hush catback. A friend came by and I started up my car. He was suprized that I was already stage 2 because it sounds so much like stock.... perfect. :-D

Just did a coolant change today. I drained almost all of the coolant out and just filled it with distilled water. I'm going to be adding a bottle of water wetter as well and hopefully that takes care of my overheating problem that I had at my last track day.

This weekend is a track weekend, I'll be at Buttonwillow on both Saturday and Sunday.

What do you all think about putting the APR GT3 mirrors on my car?

Baked them in the oven to pull them apart and painted the inside, then used my heat gun to put em back together (but you can bake them again).

I'm too tired to type up a whole ton, but Buttonwillow Raceway over the weekend was great. Was there both Saturday and Sunday, running with NASA in group HPDE 3.

I'm a bit tired to type out a whole story right now, but the STi is a little dirty.

nice color difference where the visor flips up into... when driving back I flipped it down when the sun got in my eyes, ended up with dust in my eyes and lap.

Poor car, definitely doesn't look like a 2 month old (on this day) car with 4700 miles on it.

Went off on turn #7 according to this map: (high speed left hand just before Lost Hill/Magic Mountain)

We were going the other way though (clockwise). I was on line, going actually slower than I do when my tires are hot, since it was only the 2nd lap of the session and I had a few people directly in front of me. The rear end flung out towards the passenger side, so I attempted to correct (steering wheel to the right) but it just kept creeping around. As I was getting close to the gravel, straightened the wheel out and two feet in. I ended up facing where I had come from, not too far off the track.

I didn't get black flagged between there and the hot pits, but went in and talked to the black flag guy, he told me to go clean up a little and come talk to him as he could tell I had dirt and dust all in my eyes and I could barely see since my eyes were watering so much. After talking to him and returning to my car, I started inspecting it for anything that could have happened with the off (besides it becoming a rally car). The drivers side rear wheel had at least a full degree of positive camber, I had -2.5 degrees of negative camber before so that the tire wouldn't rub. The tire has a bit of wear from the fender, but the fender was pushed upwards, causing the metal behind and above the plastic "fender flare" to fold in a bit from the pressure.

I am pissed to say the least. I only ever spun counter clockwise, which means if anything the passenger rear wheel should have the alignment off, not the drivers rear wheel. I'm almost positive that the alignment came loose on the drivers rear wheel, causing the positive, which also caused me to lose traction and go off as I did. I had the car aligned on Friday, ran all day at the track on Saturday with no problems, then Sunday during the 2nd session (of four 20min sessions) this happened. When fixing the alignment myself between sessions (tape measure camber adjustments FTW), I did notice that one of the two bolts from the shock to knuckle was decently loose (not finger loose, but loose enough that it didnt require much force on a 3/8" drive rachet).

I think I am going to go to the alignment shop and ask them what they want to to fix my fender and clean my car. I will likely end up cleaning the car myself (shop-vac, stripping the interior, and reinstalling everything) because I know even if I pay for a high end detail they won't get it as good and clean as I want it. I want it to look as clean as the day I bought it.
