IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Wednesday night I did the RA-R grill mod as well as raise the front end 3/4". I think I may need to raise the rear just a bit (1/4 to 1/2"). Thursday I got the car aligned (camber:-2.0* front + -1.5* rear, toe: 0 f + r) and loaded up the car to head to the track! First track day 17 days after purchase... 1,160 miles on it. It did well and I was able to figure out what I want to do as far as swaybars go. I also found that the 245/45/17 rt-215's barely rub on the fender lip so I need to get that rolled. I ended up throwing on the stock wheels and tires for the second half of the day to get rid of the rubbing. Thanks to Dito Milian @ GotBlueMilk for taking the photos. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Swapped wheels/tires and moved up to group C (advanced) from group B (intermediate). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 11-99 plate frame FTW (oh, and that Porsche was on slicks but didn't really get away ) |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | 1500 miles - Noise when in higher boost levels 1700 miles - Dealer diagnoses as a bad turbo, has to have turbo shipped in from out of the country 2300 miles - Turbo was replaced by dealer, noise still present. Old turbo's compressor wheel had supposedly shown wear from hitting the housing. They want more time to try diagnosing the problem but I need my car pretty much every day. I've suggested a compression test just for good measure but I don't think they have done it yet. Good news: Been collecting parts, once these issues are resolved I will be able to go stage 2. ![]() Oh I know, I think it made him mad though that a Subaru on stock tires was keeping up. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Took the car to a different dealership, they found a loose hose clamp and a broken hose clamp and according to the service adviser, it was somewhere near the throttle body. I didn't bother talking to the mechanic to find out what it exactly was, all that I care about is that it's fixed, and it is. Have something new hiding in my engine bay. PC680, have absolutely no complaints. Almost seems like my car starts easier than with the stock battery. ![]() ![]() Note: Zip ties are temporary until I make a bracket to secure it. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Last night was not fun, 460 miles round trip to pick up this ViS carbon trunk. It's worth it though. Fitment is great and it just bolted right up. And yes, I know the car is filthy. I haven't had a chance to wash it in a while but am going to this weekend. Coming soon: Something to solve the problem of ugly ass taillights ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by crashnscar; 09-26-2007 at 03:56 PM. |
