| Amateur STI Driver | I've been lurking (unregistered) for a while now, whilst in the process of setting myself up for an STi. I finally went ahead and joined the club yesterday by buying one of the last few (I suspect) '04s in California. She's a blue/gold and had 37 miles on the clock. Like everyone else, I'm having to restrain myself by keeping the revs under 4k and she just wants to GO! I already had some guy in an Audi A4 giving me **** about my pinks. But whatever...jealousy, huh? If you see me around Carlsbad/Oceanside CA, give me a wave! This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

| Junior STI Driver | Congrats! I just bought mine yesterday (saturday) Also! Went to carlsbad subaru yesterday for a 2005 aspen white come to find out they are adding a 5k markup on the msrp. I had a bad experience with them. im from orange county and Irvine subaru is doing the same thing. I ended up going to back up to Santa Monica to get one (no markups) white was hard to find |

If you're in Europe, and you drive your car into another country, you can attach a sticker or badge denoting where your car is from. I'm not sure what the original reasons were - probably just to identify why your car has a weird/different license plate or something or explain to the cop why you're not observing some strange Belgian traffic law. F=France, D=Germany, CH=Switzerland, I=Italy, ESP=Spain and so on. I'm a Brit living in the US, so I brought my 'GB' badge wth me. | |

![]() yes, i used to live in belgium until last year, when i moved to california. i'm not sure what the exact history hehind the country stickers is, about 15 years ago, everyone had them on their cars, but lately, most people don't seem to bother anymore. i think it's because of the new european license plates, which tell you the country already.
