IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2005 Trader Rating: (1) | congrats, i guess the order came through on my day off (tuesdays). honestly, i'm not a fan of the rear bumper myself, sides are OK, even if they're a little plain. it should look good on your car with a voltex rear diffuser. can't wait to see it on your car. | Spec C Club | Thanks Earl and toogood. I just dropped off my car at the bodyshop yesterday. I took a look at the bumper and it looks good. I can't wait to get it back. I should have everything done by Monday and will post some pics. ![]() nolag, I'm back in the area. I'll be here until beginning of January.AW04WRX, someone wanted to take the whole thing w/ the bumper because he got into frontal end collision. Since I can sell my bumper cover as well, I'm giving him the first dibs. I'll let you know if he doesn't end up buying it. |

| Spec C Club | The bumper is finally on. But I have some clearance issues with my cold-side IC piping because I didn't have a notch cut out in the bumper... It fits but barely. A longer coupler should solve that issue. One popped off tonight and I had to fix it in a random parking lot in the cold.... arrrghhh. I also think a coupler is ripped somewhere as I'm not building any boost and getting some hesitation. I think I'm just going to replace all the couplers with new ones and get T-bolts for every one of 'em. It also sounds like my car has developed an exhaust leak... Can it be sounding like that cause of vacuum leak? I don't think it would but it wouldn't hurt to ask... ![]() Anyway, I'll snap some pictures of the car tomorrow. I'm really happy with how the bumper looks. I would have been a lot happier if I didn't run into these issues. |

| Junior STI Driver | I had an undetectable exhaust leak for a while, could not find it for the life of me. Turns out the gasket between the headers and the up-pipe had a large hole blown through it, and was shooting some very minor soot up towards the block, barely noticeable. I put my hand over it at cold idle and boy it was blowing! You may want to check there just in case, I guess it's a common exhaust gasket failure point at high boost. Quote:

| Spec C Club | Yeah. I am always late with pics. haha. Well, looks like I found all the problems. The IC pipes keep popping off, so I'm getting new couplers that are longer and T-bolt clamps for every coupler. I'm actually getting 3 feet of every size that I need, so I can just make the couplers however long I want. I also have an exhaust leak... I don't know where it is coming from so I just left it up to a shop to find it out for me. I should have everything done by this weekend. Unfortunately, the pics will have to be put on hold until then. |

| Spec C Club | It sounds like crap. In my case, gasket in my header area somewhere is blown. It makes my car sound like lawn mower ![]() BTW, I couldn't find any couplers that were longer than what I already had so I just ordered 36" long ones for every size for my IC piping so I can just cut it to however long I want. I'm just going to make them really long so I won't have any problems with them popping off again. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (11) | yea if it sounds like a lawn mower, it's your header gasket. do you have remflex? i blew out those gaskets two times now, i'm on my third set. the nuts always come loose under there, this time i made them uber tight and i make sure to check them every oil change. |
