| Senior STI Driver | well after 2 years and some money problems which now im back on track and have finally started to build the sti.ive been having an APS 65mm cai installed but without tuning all it is is noise.i recently pieced together a full 3in turboback which consists of an Invidia V2 downpipe and thanks to the guys at IPtuned i got a great deal on the Invidia G200. got it all installed yesterday. i must say im extremely pleased with this turbo back, ive noticed an extreme change even without tuning as the difference is wonderful throughout the whole power band. the turbo spools up much quicker and it violently throws you back into the seat. also another thing i love is the sound, its not a obnoxious pissed off bumble bee sounding thing,it is pretty damned loud but it is a deep throaty growl that makes the boxer rumble really really come alive. to cap off my first stage of mods i hooked up with Tuner Tools and ordered an AEM boost controll solenoid kit,and from Image Imports ive ordered a Walbro 255lph fuel pump and NGK 1 step colder plugs. a buddy of mine will be doing the tuning,Mellon of Mellontuning.com will be doing the tuning this saturday but that will only consist of the cold air intake and the turboback exhaust since the other parts wont be in for about 2 weeks. here are the pics of whats on the car and what is in order.......... on the car first- Invidia G200 catback ![]() 3 inch piping with a huge 5in. titanium tip  Invidia V2 downpipe ![]() 4in bellmouth that tapers to 3in piping APS 65mm cai ![]() on the way- AEM boost control solenoid kit Walbro 255lph fuel pump ![]() NGK 1 step colder plugs ![]() here is a list of my second stage of mods APS turbo inlet Perrin intake charge pipe SSAC top mount intercooler(was gonna go front mount but i need to save up for a more expensive kit that will let me retain my cai,so for now just a bigger top mount should suffice just fine) later on after all this is setup and tuned ill work a lil bit more on my cooling system,i.e. bigger radiator, better radiator hoses,160 degree thermostat, oil cooler kit, turbo wrap, exhaust coating, etc. etc. because of the nasty heat and humidity we have here.after that ill get the more intricate work done like tumbler deletes, intake maifold porting, turbo porting, bigger injectors, headers and uppipe and last but certainly not least ill be adding a meth kit which wont be hard or expensive because all i have to do is convert my already existing intercooler sprayer. my plans first and foremost is to go as far as i can with the stock turbo as i pretty much got my eyes set on the record of being the fastest STI with stock turbo and bottom end, which is 11.70's .after that ill be ready to add a bigger turbo which is either gonna be a FPgreen or 20g,front mount intercooler and get some better pistons and rods.thats a lil more down the road but not too far off.the power i get from either of those 2 turbos will be great for awhile and allow me to save up for a rotated mount turbo kit and get into 500+ whp range. the future looks real good for my car,but one step at a time. and as far as interior and exterior im just gonna go murdered out.ill be painting the stock rims black, window tint all the way around,i wanna go completely wingless, lose the scoop after i get the fmic and get a RS hood,do a drop, and black out the interior. im interested in trading carpets, doorcards and possibly seats with a wrx who has black interior so if you know someone tell them to hit me up. well thats about it for now,ill keep ya posted.feel free to hit me up with any advice. It wasn't particularly clear in your message, so I just wanted to butt in and mention the standard pump isn't strong enough, just incase you didn't know. A lot of people get the idea before they read that it needs to be over 100 psi(some kits using 150 psi), I didn't know if you had also. Sounds like a sweet car though. Except for that 5" exhaust tip! Hahaha. Good luck. |

| Senior STI Driver | a buddy of mine who has a syclone with a big turbo on meth is getting his mechanic who built his truck to do my meth kit. i dont know the method of what he is gonna do but i was told it was gonna be cheap and just as effective as anything else on the market. im pretty sure they will swap the pump and all,but i couldnt tell you much because i dont know much about hooking it up,i just how to use it lol. |

| Senior STI Driver | well the tune was done yesterday but we have run into a bit of a snag which im gonna make a topic about in the correct forum and get some help on it. but on a good note anything after 3k runs like a freaking beast.i dont have any horsepower numbers or anything but i raced a 12.2 second Evo and stayed right on its bumper. id say thats pretty damned good for what little i have. | Senior STI Driver | well the tuning problem was figured out and will be correted wednesday. it was running a lil too lean in the lower rpm range. now next step is bigger top mount, aps turbo inlet, install the fuel pump, install aem boost control solenoid, and get another tune. this should be done by the middle of september. |
