IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | So all the installs went great! Me and my bud got everythign installed in 3 hours, the guage taking the longest. We started at 12:30 finished around 3:30. Tapped the Gauge into my head units wiring harness was flawless, everythign was done clean cant see any wires at all. Heatshield fiited fine, even after putting it in backwards the first time lol. Strut bar was a breeze, love how SPT products come with detailed instructions. Ill try to have some new pics and a sound clip of the TBE by the end of the weekend. Last edited by NJPunkerWRX; 01-05-2008 at 09:44 PM. Reason: The TRUTH! |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | Here are some shoddy pictures of the engine bay with SPT strutbar and COBB SS heatshield, and the pod and Defi gauge. The gauge is reading 16 psi max boost when i max out 3rd gear (havent tried to max fourth gear untill i get on a drag strip or track). Is 16psi where i should be hitting with an TBE and short ram intake? ![]() |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | So after going stage 2 via COBB, i have noticed my clutch is slipping. In 4th gear at ~2500 RPM in WOT engine revs to ~5500RPM then burning clutch stings the nostrils. It doesn't do this when WOT through 1st-3rd gears, only 4th & 5th below 2500 RPM. Previous owner put in an ACT clutch, bought car at 18K miles, now have 37K and after stage 2 clutch is slipping. (Literally day after clutch is slipping, have had ZERO issues with clutch before hand) So I am assuming the only way to fix said problem is to invest in new clutch, i was looking into ACT model number SB5-HDR4. I would really love some input, advice/personal inquiry as to how I should handle this. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
