Well we got her to start on wednesday after 3 days of trying to figure out why we werent getting it to turn over. we had it down to the fact that the injectors worked and the harness got a noid light to light up so we were losing that signal somewhere, and it turned out to be the injector clips were bad but heres some pictures of her, first thing i did when i took it home was gave it a bath. Here they are

Heads
-kelford 272 cams
-Brian Crower stock size stainless valves
-tanium retainers and valve seats
-supertech dual coil high lift springs

Stock ejs57 block
-Cp pistons and rings .20 over
-Carillo Rods
-Acl Bearings
-Stock sti crank
-11mm 08 STi oil pump
-arp headstuds
-cometic head gasket
-gimmick 170 thermostat

ACT sprung 6 puck, this thing is a pain in the ass to daily drive

All done an home in the driveway

we ended up having to cut some of the support out of the hood, but the ac still blows cold

If anyone wants some advice on this it was fairly easy to do...

Catch can from a local shop

Well i spun a bearing about 6 months ago due to low oil pressure, and i had the gt35r kit on there paid for when i got it, so when you have 5 months to save money for parts (and you dont have to pay for gas or insurance) its not too hard if you have a good work ethic

mom and dad fronted me some coin to get it done too beacuse they were tired of lending their cars to me, but now i have a payment to the bank for the loan and a payment to the parents

its all soooo worth it though

well holy **** was my trip to chicago eventful. Let me give you guys the crun down of what happened.

tune was scheduled for the 29th at 3pm, so we drive up, leave the house at 8am (on 2hrs of sleep), go through dayton to pick up methanol, and make it to chicago by about 2 pm their time. After talking to jorge, i didnt realize my injector situation was going to limit me to lower boost (with three injectors being 816cc and one at 760cc) So i get ahold of a guy on nasioc who was selling a brand new set of 1000cc p&l top feed kit so i met up with him at p&l, and headed to my buddies house to put them for my tune which was now squeezed in at 10am. And here is where the fun begins

So this harmless injector install was supposed to go smooth, so after driving for 30 mins in downtown chicago trying to find a place to park, we pull into the driveway behind the landlords impala (this was a very, very bad idea) so at about 11pm chicago time with some chipotle in our stomachs we decided to tackle the injectors.. well we get about an hour in, we realize that we dont have enough 5/16 fuel line to make it drivable, so were forced to use the steel braided 5/8.. and out of no where the wind picks up and it starts to pour.. like literally the sky decided to pick up lake michigan and drop it on us without warning. So we start throwing all the **** into the car, and once i get inside i realize i just locked the keys in the car... **** me right?

so we waited an hour, let the storm pass and i call AAA and they send a locksmith out and within 15 mins were back to working on the car again. ended up at about 4 in the morning, we get it all buttoned up and turned the ignition on to see fuel coming out of every single injector and fitting. so we put the tools in the trunk, shut the hood and called it quits. and this is where it goes downhill

at about 8 am, i get the maintence man honking his horn to get me to move my car, when i procede to tell him it wont start. He says okay, tells the 90yr old ***** of a landord lady that it wont start. (by this point im on the phone with AAA to get a flatbed) tow truck is on its way, i tell the land***** this and she says okay but i have to leave and get out blah blah blah.. my phone dies, i go inside to charge it, and 10 mins later the chicago police dept. is banging on my buddies apt. door. Tells me i have to move my car the landlord has to get out blah blah i told him flatbeds on the way it wont start fuel leak and he says well just push it up the street. so i go outside and see a nice big ticket under my wipers for 150$!!!!! BULL ****!!! im like dude the car wont start unless you want me to blow up the entire block and the landlords just sitting there, like haha your in trouble, i wanted to punch the old hagg in the face (i really dont care for her if you couldnt tell) so i throw the ticket in the car, move it 30 ft down the street and then AAA calls, tells me i need the fire department to clear the car of its fuel leak because its considered "hazardous" so i proceed to call them..

5 mins later they show up, lights, sirens and all, so the whole neighborhood is starting to come out of their apartments (and by this point im like "holy **** this is so embarassing" head in my hands) anyway after 5 minutes of explaining it to them the fire chief tells me, quote, "just call the towing company and tell them the car is ****ing broke"

so called them back, the tow truck came, got to p&l by about 1 ish, and the guys at p&l were awesome, like they couldnt have been any more willing to help. They managed to squeeze my car in to fix it and make it drivable, and we stayed in some cheap motel that night. crazy day.

Got to p&l by 10, the 12 o clock apt got canceled do to a blown motor, so my car got started on the pre dyno inspection, boost leaks everywhere, so by the time they got those all finished up, it was time for the 3 o clock who also got canceled by a blown motor. So my car was finally going on the dyno at about 430. Jorge started to work his magic and ended up not even using the meth kit, and made 407 whp / 353 wtq uncorrected (95 degrees). i was pleased, but jorge had to leave and it was closing time at the shop and i had to get my trip back to cincinnati on the road so ill have to head up there again for a race gas tune.

*Cliff notes*
got to p&l, needed new injectors, found a 1000cc kit, attempted to install it in downtown chicago, uber failure, 150$ parking ticket, fire dept came, towed to p&l, the masters at P&L fixed me up and i made 407 whp / 353 wtq uncorrected.

Id also like to shout out to the guys at P&L, Ty for keeping us company our probably 24hrs in the proshop throught the week, eddie for story time, and all the other techs and mechanics that made this experience a great one. they went WAY above and beyond to help me out, i would HIGHLY reccomend them to ANYONE for tuning or if they need work done... I will definately be seeing them again in the near future! Go P&L!!
