Default Chlnorslpn?'s WRB 06 STi...now with GT30R

Hello everyone,

I've been on this forum mostly looking at others rides and admiring the things that other STi owners do to their cars. I've had my 06 for almost a year now and it has been good to me. I owned a 05 wrx before this, but took a ride in a friends stage 2 STi and fell in love with the powerband which brought me to owning one myself.

Like most people I couldn't wait to finish the break in period and start modding. Once fully broken in, I went ahead with stage 2 with and EWG. I was happy with the set up for a little bit, but the noise got to be a little too much for me. Below is a graph showing what power I made on a quick tune @ 19psi.

Well, since I'm never fully satisfied with my car I always change it up. I got rid of the EWG set up and ordered an Invidia V2 downpipe. I later added a SSA FMIC, SPT intake, and Forge BPV. I was road tuned for these mods @20psi. I have a tune scheduled Aug 6, to see what changes were made. Anyways here are some pics of its progress....

Looks good!

Can you us a little review on the SS Autochrome FMIC? I'm looking to purchase one.

Thanks

Says it was removed due to the noise.

Good looking car man, I love how it looks with the fmic. Should look a lot better dropped on black BBS's.

Thanks for the compliments guys!!! Due to money reasons I put the OEM hood back on and the carbon fiber is up for sale on nasioc. It is almost sold....so we'll see what happens. It completed the look of my car, but I really need the money. I am keeping the trunk because I wanted to go wingless...so I'll have to balance the front end later on.

I can't wait myself for my springs to come in and my rims to be painted...

My review on the SSA FMIC is as follows:

It is a great kit for the price! It requires you to get ~$60 in extra parts which to me isn't much at all considering how much your saving already. There was no big lag added to my spool time at all. I hit 20psi at 3150-3200rpm and it holds till your basic vf39 starts dropping . It has been proven to withstand over 400whp/400wtq on a fellow members STi w/ a gt30r turbo. The fmic fits great and it hasn't given me any issues(knock on wood). My future plans are to get a UR Rotated kit and the best thing is they make a retro-pipe for this fmic!

The EWG is no longer on my car....when it was i had the UR up-pipe, Tial 38mm wastegate and hks downpipe.

I love your car. Any more shot's of the greddy sp2 exhaust? I'm thinking of swapping my HKS out for that one. How loud is it with your DP?

well I finally got my RCE springs in and my rims painted. I installed the springs last night so they still have some settling to do. I'm happy with the way everything turned out....I'm wondering if I should just put my CF hood back on instead of selling it..hmmm...I also got a KB short shifter w/ bushings

Looking sweet... I'm going to RCE's from Prodrive soon so it was nice to see what they will look like on my car. Did you go with the hardened strut tops in the front? What are your impressions of the RCE's over Prodrive?
