| Halliburton Mercenary | Why does a noise bother you? Did you read up on wastegate flutter? It is not a bad thing. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 Trader Rating: (4) | I started reading up on wastegate flutter after your last post and came to that realization. I wasn't sure how problematic the flutter was.. Since I was hearing a new noise that I wasn't having before I just assumed something is wrong. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (23) | perhaps the bov is not properly adjusted. Here's some advice i've wanted to give you from the beginning. Get the Forge BPV. Now you just have to sell the Tial or return it or something. |

A stock BPV is not designed to be that tight or to cause any sort of compressor stall. The Tial with the 11lb spring is designed and thought out to hold pressure like that. That maximizes respool between shifts while still allowing a proper vent otherwise. My argument here is that the stock BPV wasn't venting right, at ANY time. More then likely due to a kink in the return line (the tentative suspect). -Jorge

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2005 Trader Rating: (3) | take a video. my wastegate flutters more after my protune, but that's probably due to the fact i'm running about 5 more psi. it only flutters at WOT in 5th and 6th though, not when letting off the throttle. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 Trader Rating: (4) | Seems different than my symptoms because I only hear flutter when I let off the gas and blow-off, and it will flutter at any boost/engine speed/gear combination that I have tried. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 Trader Rating: (4) | So the white smoke from the exhaust issue I was having that I thought went away... yeah it didn't. I have diagnosed the symptoms further. It only happens on a cold-start up after I drove the car hard the previous "session". By hard I don't mean ripping it up every chance I get, just going WOT once will cause my next start to have a white/ semi-grayish smoke come out of the exhaust. The smoke only lasts for about 2 seconds and starts right when the car fires up. Sound like I'm about to blow my head gasket? Or could it be the turbo seal? I would like to figure it out before I cause major damage... I have begun babying the car and its depressing me . Also, I've noticed my car is stinkier than usual. It was always stinky at times because its catless, but now it seems like its stinking it up very often! |

![]() Now I noticed another problem, while under 3/4 - full boost my cur feels sluggish, its definitely not right!! Here's what happend... was cruising on the highway at 60 mph in 6th gear, dropped down to 3rd because I wanted to pass someone, went wot, boosted up to 22/23 psi (normal) but the car went nowhere! I thought for sure I blew the IC hose(since this past weekend the clamp blew off the hose and I was loosing boost at high pressure, bought a new clamp and stuck it on and everything seemed A OK), but the IC pipe is on strong and the clamp is holding. So now I'm wondering wtf is causing this??? Is it possible the used Tial I bought of one of the users is junk? I can't seem to think what else could be it? Maybe I need a T-Bolt clamp for the IC hose because 23 psi is still causing this regular hose clamp to not do the job? I'm so frustrated right now... I was on such a nice natural high this morning because its Friday and now I'm pissed!! ![]() On a happy note, here is a pic of my new navi background. Props to Boony for making this background for me This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad.
