Claybar does take a long time, but you might not want to put the Zaino off for too long - the point of claybarring is to get the paint smooth and prepped for polish and wax. Your paint is basically naked now especially if you used Dawn to wash the car before claybar. Clay generally removes any leftover wax as well, IIRC.

Looks like you'll definitely be busy. having that intake mani off will make everything else so much easier though. Should be fun!

Yeah I realized that so I am planning on Zaino'ing Saturday. Its only been a few days so I think a simple wash should get the car clean enough to where I don't have to re-claybar. I guess I can quickly clay bar the whole thing again.. shouldn't take me that long this time since I did a really good job claybarring this last time.

Probably don't need to re-clay unless you're that much of a perfectionist

Just saying don't wait tooooo long

Default Re: Gondy's 07 WRB STI - 6/30/08 - Installing new parts this week

I will be installing all my new mods starting after work tonight, and continuing after work Tuesday and Wednesday, with all day Thursday free to finish things up. Once the install is done it will be time to do my 30k service!

I'll try and get pics up every morning with whatever was worked on each night. Tonight I am hoping to get the intake manifold pulled off, re-slot my mani for my jdm tgv deletes, and will try and tap in the sensors for my egt and oil pressure gauges.

Up-to-date install list:
gm bcs
cobb heat shield
dw 750cc fi
samco maf hose
aps turbo inlet
tgv deletes
fumoto valve
defi gauges

+ 30k service (have all my fluids)

Should be a lot of fun considering I am learning as I go

So these JDM tgv deletes I bought, they aren't completely "deleted." I'll post pics tomorrow so you guys can see.
